Our most gracious Queen met her bridegroom outside Saint Elizabeth's Cathedral at Wittmund Palace this morning. As members of the Ionian Royal and French Imperial families processed together to their seats, Prince Philippe bowed in greeting before his soon to be wife and Liege. The young and expressive Prince Lenerd Yannik stood on his own two feet, holding hands with the Countess Hertford, his mother’s Maid of Honor, as they greeted the groom’s Best Man. When Emperor Napoléon V last met the boy, he was a baby, sitting in the Emperor's arms.

After a hiatus from public life following the Royal Wedding of Queen Viviana II & King Philippe, the Countess Hertford debuted on a new YouTube channel with her longtime acquaintance, Norman. The Queen known for her clarifying interviews with high profile Ionians, retired from her weekly daytime spot on IBC 4 in 2023; following the former Prince Raheem's interview detailing his disagreements with the late Queen Viviana I's choice in heir. Her Illustrious Majesty had never spoken to anyone the way she had Viola. That was clear to Olympia when she held the girl, who she'd never spoken directly to, as she sobbed. The girl whose own mother hadn't shown at her engagement, bridal, or bachelorette parties. Who'd be her daughter in twelve-or-so hours. It didn't matter that she'd expressed disappointment of her son's choice on numerous occasions, that the girl's actions were in line with society's rumors of the young Queen, or that The Union's honesty could be more isolating than Francesim's protocol. Olympia was there; her subconcious had led her to the ceremonial room where, due to tradition, the girl would spend the night alone. She thought of her daughters.

Simparte women descended upon Schloss Celle's diplomatic sitting room on the night before the Royal Wedding. The family was joined by only three women of the Bride's party; Princess Eleanor of Trenton, and her cousins, through blood and marriage, Princess Claire and the Countess Hertford. Thirty minutes away, in the Billiards room of Wittmund Palace, Prince Philippe held a much smaller gathering. The Count Hertford sent his future cousin a gift, an apology for his unattendence.
