what do you think of movie au master chen? i like to think chen the cheerleader (chad chen??) is his son personally. skylor gets a bro :D

okay i could not get what I wanted to draw for this to look right but I've been thinking about this and it makes me giggle

im like imagining. movie master chen beefs with these two highschoolers because their parents run a rival noodle shop. it's like in Wu's Teas when he spins the sign around and stuff. the idea of movie Chen having this endless beef with like a 16 year old makes me giggle

n then his son chad is just a dick to all of the ninja vs his sister skylor who actually likes most of them. the movie Chens are making me giggle more as I type this out

then also the noodles being a front for like illegal stuff. and Kai seeing it in costume and just being like "I FUCKING KNEW IT" and Chen is just like "who are you"

Currently screaming about your portrayal of Chen-Chad— are there more plans for him and what are your thoughts on the character—

There is definitely more plans for him! He still has a Lloyd to bully, self-esteem to break, and an older cousin to bug ;P

My overall thoughts on him are that in the movie he's a pretty shallow (as in, not deep whatsoever) character that kind of has the purpose of being the face for the public's perspective on Lloyd (going from mindlessly hated to at least respected) but even that bit of approach doesn't really have any payoff. Not that it would have been that essential to include, but it's weird that he got a bit of spotlight in the beginning and then just a shot of looking regretful at the end. That may just be my love for bookend plot points speaking though *shrug*

Therefore, I've made him a very easy-to-despise minor antagonist, who is partially responsible for Kai's less than stellar tendencies, and who may or may not know more than he lets in on, and who may or may not get a little bit redeemed eventually (or at the very least, have his actions be more understood). I have some very general plans for him but I do not know how it's all gonna mesh quite yet.

but darkley's kids in the Movie verse, they go to Darkley's high-school. Ninjago High's rival. No one likes them everyone thinks they suck, and might be working with Garmadon. Gene is Chad I had too many thoughts so now him and Lloyd's relationship is a bit different. Sally's wearing contacts since I still don't know what I should make her eye color. and She would. Kids have been told for ever that their bad and now don't know what to do other than be bad. well except Lloyd he's ok, he's got Koko.

Still trying to figure out if I want Movie Lloyd to also be Dragoni or not cause I think it'd be really funny if he was just like, a human.

I have a headcanon that would explain why Chad in TLNM has the last name Chen.

Chen, although evil before, completely lost it when his wife died. 

How did she die? A year and a half after birthing their firstborn, Skylor, she died giving birth to their son, Chad.

Chen’s wife was quite literally the only thing that kept him sane, and after she died, he became completely merciless. He blamed baby Chad for his wife’s death and had one of his servants abandon Chad on the mainland. The servant took pity on the baby and left him outside of an orphanage with nothing but a nametag, so at least the child could have a chance at life. Chen eventually forgot about him, living on without the knowledge that the baby is still alive.

And thus, Chad Chen ;)
