When someone treats you like you’re just one of many options, help them narrow their choice by removing yourself from the equation. Sometimes you have to try not to care, no matter how much you do..Because sometimes you can mean almost nothing to someone who means so much to you.. If they can’t prioritize you, if they can’t show you how important you are to them, if they struggle choosing you, if they treat you like an option when you should be the one and only, if they can’t see what’s in front of them..then Let it go, walk away. Sometimes the only choice left is to leave and hope that in your absence they care enough- to notice and do something about it. Hopefully they care enough to change the situation and show you with actions the importance of you in their life. But if they can’t, if they won’t..there’s your answer. No forcing.

Sometimes you want them to be sorry. But what does it change? What you actually want is changed behaviour. And both are rare to get. Forgive - and move where you are valued. And where your friendship is watered with the same amount of time, effort and appreciation.

Growth is painful, difficult, saddening, confusing, and so much more. So many of y’all wonder why you’re so sad all the time, but refuse to get to the root of your own problems. You push things further away with substances, alcohol, distractions from partners, thinking if you don’t provoke the monster, it’ll stay sleeping. But it’s always there. And until you have a real talk about it, with your friends, your family, your professional helper, and yourself - you’ll never get better.

Face yourself. Get uncomfortable. Get angry. Rebirth, and change is coming. Be prepared.
