The Sonic Frontiers: The Final Horizon Dlc Is Not Canon

So in IDW Sonic The Hedgehog #85 there is a little blurb at the top giving us some information about Sage, one thing it tells us is she was recently reborn. This actually reveals a few things.

The first and most important thing is Sage canonically died and was brought back by Eggman. Meaning the Sonic Frontiers: The Final Horizon dlc is not canon, and the base game story where she dies is. This also means Sonic canonically never went Super Sonic 2.

But also, this means so of the recent events in the timeline have to happen back to back to each other. Basically you go from Sonic Frontiers straight into Sonic Racing Crossworlds. This because this is the canonical first time Sonic and Sage have seen each other since Sonic Frontiers.

Then you go from Crossworlds to immediately into the Chaotix Files as the is canon(I will elaborate in a post dedicated to this topic). The reason is this is the canonical return of Infinite The Jackal.

After the Chaotix Files has to be several of the Sonic Speed Simulator events. In particular the Super Shadow Returns & Super Shadow Event Part 2: Super Shadow, Phantom Ruby Havoc, and the recent Kronos Island Event. This is because the Super Shadow events have Infinite canonically showing up, and the Phantom Ruby Havoc has a fake Infinite running around. The latter also acknowledges the events of the Chaotix Files. As for the Kronos Island event, well in-universe dialogue puts it not long after the events of Sonic Frontiers.

That isn't even getting into how many events have to be in-between and right after the Chaotix Files and Crossworlds, as they feature things like the Phantom Rider outfit. All during this time all the Chaos Emeralds are constantly being used which are supposed be canonically collected up by the mysterious figure in IDW as of issue 86. Yup another contradiction created by making everything canon.

Finally during all this or right after all this we get issues 77-84 bringing about Sage's introduction to the comics. With issue 85 stated she was recently reborn. That detail means all the events in the timeline have to happen rapid fire back to back for her to even be stated to recently have been reborn. Or for Tails to say he is surprised to be back on Kronos Island so soon.

So yeah, that little blurb has huge lore implications, and changes up the timeline to look more like the graphic I made down below to give you a grasp on how it has to be like. Written by Eris the Lorekeeper

I have a feeling that Abraham Tower would understand whisper's past trauma of losing friends and would have a very strong dislike towards lanolin because of her personality and how she treats everyone.

I agree with the first part but not the second, Tower would likely understand Lanolin’s perspective but he did get used to Shadow and Sonic’s antics and he would probably think Lanolin would get used to it eventually.

lol I’ve been having to take a pretty long drive back and forth between home and a hospital to visit family recently and have been bingeing Chaotix casefiles episodes to pass the time…

Needless to say I’ve finished writing arc 1 of The Art of Espionage (9 chapters, around 20k words) and now am working on arc 2 XD The Final Trial itself is about three chapters long, but what can I say? Can’t wait for y’all to read what’s in store! :D
