To people who don't understand why trans women who get murdered for not revealing it earlier don't just reveal it right away, because this is a common sentiment I see,

Here's the dilemma;

• Either you out yourself to somebody you don't know too well & don't even know if you wanna really do anything with, and you get killed. (because even if you did not engage with someone, them simply finding you attractive and realizing you're trans disgusts & embarrasses them enough they feel they need to compensate with violence)

• Or you don't tell them right away, you tell them when you feel closer/sure you're going to do anything/etc, and you get killed for "tricking" them.

There's truthfully not a good time to decide "when" is best, because every situation is entirely different.

To be perfectly clear, the dating pool for trans people is a landmind no matter what. There's people out there who will lie about beibg trans themselves/trans friendly to seek out trans women to commit acts of violence on.

So, next time you see a story like this, don't go "bluh bluh bluh why didn't she just say something sooner", because to be honest, existing as a trans person in any capacity is dangerous.

Some people (chasers usually) look at trans men and see :"women who it's okay to be sexist to because they say they're men.... so when you treat them like objects or tell them their bodies are disgusting their heads are empty and they contribute nothing to society /history /culture beyond being holes to fuck it's actually progressive"
