The Chef Show, 2019
Jon Favreau and Chef Roy Choi are essentially the Nobita and Doraemon of the cooking world.
I know there have already been posts about Dave Filoni being in Jon Favreau and Roy Choi’s Chef Show. But there hadn’t been any mention of the amount of Star Wars geekiness between Favreau and Filoni.
There were the moments like those in the screencaps above in which they commented on the knives they were using.
They talked about the scene in Empire when Vader surprises Han and Leia in Cloud City with Vader sitting at a big dining table and the two of them were talking about how Vader could eat.
Favreau told a brief story about how his dog came to have the name Emerald Ackbar.
And when they shot this, Filoni was in the middle of writing the end of the Clone Wars. So Choi was surprised that Clone Wars would be back. Filoni confirmed that it would be back but he turned to Favreau and told him his character (Pre Vizla) would not be back which led to this exchange.
Favreau: Can I come back as a ghost? What do they call it? A Force ghost? Filoni: No. It doesn't work like that. Favreau: Why not? Filoni: You were greedy. You chose power over your friends. Favreau: You're talking about my character. Filoni: Your character. Favreau: Good. Make that clear. It's a bad soundbite.

Watching S3 of Chef Show. Love you, Jon Favreau. Marvel Man. But honestly... Don’t treat female servers as props while you guys sit round stuffing your faces as they serve you? And they get camera time from the neck down?
When women have taught you boys every base upon which your foundation is based when it comes to food?
