Rekha, a forever icon.
Bandhani (Hindi: बांधणी, Gujarati: બાંધણી) is a type of tie-dye textile decorated by plucking the cloth with the fingernails into many tiny bindings that form a figurative design. The term bandhani is derived from the Sanskrit word bandh which means "to bind or "to tie"). Today, most Bandhani making centers are situated in Gujarat and Rajasthan in India and Sindh and Punjab in Pakistan. Earliest evidence of Bandhani dates back to Indus Valley Civilization where dyeing was done as early as 4000 B.C. The earliest example of the most pervasive type of Bandhani dots can be seen in the 6th century paintings depicting the life of Buddha found in the caves of Ajanta.
The process involves dyeing a fabric which is tied tightly with a thread at several points. Dyeing is done by hand and bright primary colours like red, yellow and green are predominantly used. A meter length of cloth can have thousands of tiny knots known as bheendi. These knots form a design once opened after the dye has dried.

Jon Favreau and Chef Roy Choi are essentially the Nobita and Doraemon of the cooking world.
"That sounds like a good idea......."-"Is there something bothering you with the idea?"-"No, the idea is GOOD.....🙂"
Can someone explain this to me?
Old people use quotation marks to indicate emphasis, as a substitute for italics (which many of them could not produce on the old typewriters they learned to write on), whereas young people use them to indicate sarcasm or falseness. They’re used as “scare quotes”.
And old people use ellipses simply to indicate a pause, or for some other incomprehensible reason I’m not aware of. But young people use ellipses to indicate passive-aggression.
So an old person could type something like:
how are things going with your “boyfriend”….
and what they mean is
How are things going with your boyfriend? [Im so excited for you, sweetie, and I wanna hear about it]
But a young person would interpret that sentence as
How are things going with your so-called boyfriend…. [I say, while seething with contempt for him and possibly for you too]
The linguistic difference across generations is beautifully explained here thank you
It's okay to listen to your body when it tells you what it needs, even if that's different from what you feel it should need. Give yourself permission to be free of the shoulds.

SHUBHO BIJOYA PEOPLE ❤
I am crying no
i know how much you guys love getting vital news through memes so even though i didn’t have a joke ready i whipped this up for all of you
the story is extremely sketchy and based on claims made by former cops who presented no evidence other than just saying they figured out it was him. no dna matching, a bunch of coincidences and a handful of people convinced this terrible dude they knew was secretly the zodiac killer. also worth noting, the original interview was given to fox news, which has a very strained relationship with factual reporting.
also worth noting which news outlets have picked up the story:
when you see fox news, the new york post, the sun, and TMZ, you need to be extremely skeptical, because none of them have a strong track record of factual reporting, and the latter three are more in the realm of sensationalist tabloids than legitimate news outlets
