Just Chet being very protective of the love of his life his bodyguard.
Failed step 1
In the end, Chet really was Park's life and there was nothing to forget and nowhere to go back to follow him where he was told not to go.
Park after Chet begged him to live his life happily:
Park is getting the most mixed signals ever. Imagine your toxic (to everyone including you, but you are significantly better off than the rest and apparently that does it for you) boss whom you're pining for calls you stupid and then asks you to eat with him in the same breath (and from an elitist toad like him, this may very well be a marriage proposal).
You ignore it and then he does this:
Takes a bite of the food and then feeds you the second bite. Look at Park's face. He's happy but so very confused.
their last words might not have been "i love you" but that was absolutely a love confession from both of them
park was always going to follow chet. he just told chet what he needed to hear to die as peaceful as he could. but even in death he couldn't leave his love behind
The funniest (most ironic) thing about Wicked Game is the so called villain character has a much healthier relationship than the main character.
In other words Chet and Park have the best relationship in the whole damn series.
Affectionate, I love this series. I am just rooting for these two and their love story more than the leads.
