You then had the urge to write, you wanted to be an independent author, but knowing that it's frowned upon you never mentioned it, you grabbed the notebook and a fountain pen that one of your fathers friends gave you, claiming it will be revolutionary. You had some trouble seeing so you started to look u til you caught eyes with the freckles face train boy. You gave him a small smile and he walked over.
"How may I help you ma'ma?"
You were shocked at his voice, not only his accent but the way he sounded, so deep, you didn't know your cheeks were flushed until he mentioned how red my face had gotten.
"Oh it's nothing! Uh I was hoping there may be a light- a-a lamp I mean."
He stood up straight and made his way to the back of the train, and came back with a gas lamp, placing it on the table.

Other than the sound of silver wear clicking and forks against plates once in a while the dining hall was silent. Felix was poking around his plate, not eating. It's not that the food didn't look good but that he was nervous, too nervous. Why?
He looked up and was met with you, he was sitting right across from you, you ate so elegantly, it was almost endearing. He enjoyed watching you eat. His face was flushed immediately after when you looked up from your food to meet his gaze, you both stare at each other before he looked away first, face red from getting caught.

Felix almost choked but he grabbed the glass of water and drank before setting it down, he bites his bottom lip, suddenly feeling like he was under a microscope. He was embarrassed...
"Uhm... It's a girl, but it's not my wife... Not like I have or had one anyways."
A small gasp came from the lead left side of the table, there sat her aunt. The same aut who snores like a pig, the same aunt who was rude to him the while ride on that train, she had her makeup caked on, her red lips round in shocked eyes wide, before she started laughing, eye wrinkling, "Obviously not! You're a disgrace to your family, you should've been married by now, what kind of man isn't married by now..." her laughter died down as she looked up her eyes resting on the man on the far right end of the table. She cleared her throat grabbing her utensils and continued to eat in silence.
Like a dark cloud, awkward silence fell over the whole dining room, yet again...

He got up before the birds could sing just to walk through town, a few drunks who didn't make it home are on the corner, it's not a sight he's new to seeing... Or wants to see.
He would usually mind his own business but stopped when he saw a kid —maybe around 10 or 12 getting pushed around for his money by grown adults.
"Hey, what's going on over here?"
The men turned to look at him, the boy who was getting pushed around was scrapped up, mud and dirt on his face, fresh blood dripping from his nose, his clothes scruffed. ...Scared...
"It's non of your business pretty boy." The bigger man said, his voice gruff.
"Well I'm going to make it my business."
With that the two men looked at each other before back at Felix and started putting their attention on him.

But the young one didn't listen and started dragging him through town, past from where he lived, to middle class, to upper class? He failed to notice the rich looking clothes he had on earlier, so there was a reason why those men were beating up a young kid, it's because he's rich.

"Oh hello my sweet daughter."
She smiled and then finally noticed me, and who I was, her smile faltered before she smiled again, a bit bigger.
"Your the train boy."
She said walking closer.
"Ah, uh yes miss."
Felix didn't dare to look up as you came closer, he kinda forgot that he was currently holding up his shirt so your father can look at the bruise that was formed on his rib.
"May I have a name?"
Your father voice snapped him out of his thoughts and looked up at him. His name? He never gave people his name, and if he did they would only call him "Boy" or "Poor boy" he was reluctant, but seeing your fathers kind face made him speak out.
"It's uh, Felix."
"Felix?"
He turned to look at you, the way you said his name, he probably had a goofy smile on his face. You smiled back at him and let out a giggle.
