Y/N x future!kelly Severide, Y/N x Antonio Dawson (platonic)
Plot : imagine being Antonio’s best friend and returning from the navy seals, when a case comes up and Antonio needs your help
After I have the intelligence unit the files Thomas sent me I decided that I should go and see if the fire department has come up worh anything about the excelertents.
When I arrive at the station I see it’s completely empty, which I guess means they must be out on a call. I see that the front door is open so I walk right in and walk through the hallway, and I come to a kitchen type area.
It looks as though someone was about to start cooking when they got called away, can’t hurt to help out right?
I look at all the ingredients and then I look on the frindge and I figure I can at least make a good paella and some brownies.
I pull my phone out and put some music on, put my hair up and I start chopping vegetables.
About half an hour later the paella is on to cook and the brownies are in the oven, and I start to clean up when I hear someone cough in the doorway
I look up and see him with a grin on his face and bag in his hand.
“Hey, whatcha doing?” He says
“I’m making food for yall” I say to Severide, as he places his bag down and walks over to me
“Smells amazing” He says as he looks in the oven
“Yall back now?” I ask as I can’t see anyone else
“No, I had a appointment with a doctor so I was forced to go there” he says
“Too bad, I’d love to see you in uniform again” I say subtly flirting with him
“Then I’ll go and get changed, just to please you” He says as he grabs his bag making me laugh.
Once he’s gone I hear people coming and the first person through the door is the one and only. Gabriella Dawson
“Well look what the cat dragged in” I say walking towards gabbie
“Ahhhh Y/N!” She says running towards me and hugging me
“What are you doing here” she ask and I smile
“Your brother dragged me into his case” I say and her smile falls
“And he didn’t tell me, when did you get back?” She asks and well uh oh
“You gonna introduce me or....” I ask
“Stop changing the subject” she says
“Hi I’m Y/N Y/L/N, aka gabbies best friend and basically her sister” I say and she hits me
“Nice to meet you, I’m Chris Herrmann, you can call me herrmann and these are the guys” he says following to introduce me to everyone and once he’s done Severide walks back in, says hi to them and turns to me
“Better?” He asks with a smile
“Much.” I say as I fix his collar and smile at him “but you can do better” I say as I walk back to the paella
“Is that Paella?” Gabbie asks grabbing a plate
“Yes” I say putting the pot out I the island in front of the stove with a salad and sauces
“Enjoy” I say bowing to all of the fire department
“You shouldn’t have” Gabbie says as she grabs a big pile with a bit of salad, following to sit down
“So, how long you known Gabbie?” Herrmann asks as we all sit down
“Our whole lives nearly. My and Antonio went to school together and cause I was a lot younger he looked out for me, leading me to meet Gabbie” I say and Gabbie laughs
“He didn’t take care of you, you beat up three guys who where picking on him in seventh grade” she says
“Yeah. He looked so small and helpless” I say making them laugh
“ So swan, what you doing here?” Gabbie asks, using that nickname
“I thought I’d come over and see if you had found anything else out about the fire” I say
“So your working on it?” Severide asks
“I’m helping” I say looking down
“Well, I was about to call Voight and let him know but I can tell you first since your here, the excelerent seems to have been a mixture of solid silver nitrate and powdered magnesium, which when it comes into contact with water, it sets on fire” Chief Boden says putting his fork down
“So when the fire alarm was pulled,” I say
“ so why’d Antonio pull you in the to this case” Matt asks making me freeze slightly
“ it’s my area of .... expertise” I say
“I have to go. I have to check on the living victims at med and then get back to intelligence” I say standing up and grabbing my bag and walking away
“Y/N!” Gabbie says running after me
“Yeah?” I say turning around as she hugs me
“Be careful” she whispers as she pulls away
“I will be. But your my family, Antonio is my family. If anything happens to family, nothing will stop me” I say walking to my car
“I know that, but these people, the cpd,fd and Med. this is our city, and we’re a family who stands together. This is a family and please, know that everyone will do anything to pritwct family. So even though Antonio’s out there, you need to watch yourself” she says and I nod, driving towards med
