Happy Mother's Day, everyone! Since today is about moms, and since people like making up characters like fan kids and fan parents, here's one I made up. Her name is Queen Orange, and she's my take on Princess Peach's mom. Yes, I will use her in an upcoming fic.

Orange Toadstool was born as Orange Fireflower in Mushroom City, the eldest daughter of the Fireflower family. From a very early age, she was shy and had few – if any – friends, but did well enough with her studies, though it was in sports that she really shone, particularly in track events, which earned her some admiration from her classmates. In middle school, she met a boy named Rolfe Toadstool, who – unbeknownst to her – was the prince of the Mushroom Kingdom. One day, she saved him from being attacked by a pair of Hammer Bros, which not only led to them becoming closer, but also got her noticed by the Toadstool family.
After graduating private school, Orange enrolled in the Mushroom Kingdom University, where she got a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. While her parents preferred that she would have gotten a degree in business, they nevertheless understood her desire. By this time, though, Orange was becoming more outgoing, partly due to her relationship with Rolfe. Eventually, they got married, and she became Princess Orange of the Mushroom Kingdom. They tried several times to have a child, but were unable to conceive. It was only when Orange turned 32 that she bore her first child: Princess Peach. By now, her and Rolfe had become king and queen of the Mushroom Kingdom.
While Rolfe and Orange had a happy marriage, it was not to last. When Peach was 13, Rolfe was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, and despite the doctors’ best attempts to save him, they were unable to, and Rolfe died, causing a warp in Orange’s personality. She started shirking her duties as Queen, not only wearing a leather jacket and boots, but also driving fast cars and motorcycles, listening to heavy metal, getting drunk and just generally ripping up the Mushroom Kingdom, much to Peach’s embarrassment…
Personality:
In contrast to the prim and proper Peach, Orange is brash, rambunctious and outgoing. She would rather be a leather-clad rebel than attend to her duties as queen. Despite her wild ways, however, deep down inside, Orange deeply misses her husband Rolfe. She also has a kind and sensitive side, though this doesn’t always show.
Appearance:
Orange is practically a spitting image of Peach. However, in contrast to Peach, she has chestnut brown hair, and her eyelids are half open. She also wears pink eyeshadow.
Orange’s typical attire is an orange tank top, a black Vanson Villainess leather jacket, black Gargoyles ANSI sunglasses, a golden crown with red and blue gems, a studded leather belt with a Detroit Diesel belt buckle, tight blue jeans, and thigh-high leather boots with Vibram soles.
When she is attending to her duties as Queen, Orange wears a dress similar to Peach’s, but colored orange with bright green trim.
For sporting purposes, Orange wears an orange sports bra, black spandex shorts and orange sneakers with yellow toecaps.
Abilities:
For a woman of her age, Orange is still quite the athlete, able to run long distances and pack a powerful punch. She also has good marksmanship skills, having taken a firearms safety course. Other than that, she is also an excellent cook and very good at video games.
Items/Weapons:
For protection, Orange typically carries an expandable police baton. Her car is a Monza Red 1969 Chevy Yenko Nova S/C, and she also has a custom chopper with a Harley-Davidson Shovelhead engine. Though she rarely uses them nowadays, her ranch has a couple of old big rigs, including a Mack F700 and a Peterbilt 359.
