【赤裸的叛逆：鳥苑 — 雞刺身】

新一年，要學懂放下執著、適時休息。有目標，就要付諸實行。所以，上月打著旗號要喝好啡吃美食，拋下一切煩擾，到了台中遊玩八日。

旅遊要懷著叛逆的心。只有肯冒險和嘗試，你才能發掘到人生的驚喜。第一天，我在酒館認識了好客的在地朋友。我問她台中有甚麼好吃。說著說著，她突然從腦海深處憶起離奇的美味：「雞刺身！有吃過嗎？」我瞪大眼：「沒有，味道如何？」

其實，聽來也沒甚麼好驚訝。熊本有馬刺身，外國也有他他牛。只是，聽到雞刺身，我無法幻想那口感是如何。所以，那天晚上便膽粗粗去一嚐這道刺身。

坐下，也沒想甚麼，便叫了一個「燒鳥」套餐。廚師哥哥徐徐捧上前菜，然後再捧來雞刺身。他建議先試原味，然後才加山葵醬油。

那先嚐原味。口感綿密，沒什麼腥味，質感赤裸的很。 再加山葵醬油。像普通魚生，山葵帶出肉裡的清甜，醬油中和了那赤裸的肌肉質感。

吃罷，內心的叛逆安定了下來。沒留下甚麼特別回味的記憶點，但我覺得人生也得需嚐一遍。然而，一遍就好。如同一切事物，執著過後也只得回望放手。

新一年，大概要學懂繼續面對赤裸的叛逆。

I lived in a caravan park and there was a crazy lady everyone avoided, I must’ve been dared to go into her caravan, so I did and walked through a curtain and she was there and she screamed and tried to attack me, I ran back to mine but she followed and the many people I was living with were cooking dinner and they all turned and glared at her, they eventually got her out and I went back outside to field where my friends were doing laps on bikes and I tried to chase them to sit on the back but i made them crash and a guy in a deadpool costume fell over and completely out of his suit and he was completely naked and he got up and ran. I went back to my caravan and I sat a small table with a young boy and in the middle of the table was a grill, I started cooking eggs on it and I looked at his plate and he had raw chicken so I took it so i could cook it for me but he said he wanted to try the chicken sashimi and it was meant to be like that, we argued about salmonella and he let me cook it but I saw him eat a bit of it raw.

Gaijintoxication

Some blokes from the English department threw me a wild welcoming party on Saturday evening. Organised by the main man, Kenichi, there were six people present and I got horrifically drunk due to there not being enough carbohydrates to counteract my fast alcohol consumption. Also, every time my drink ran out, a new one would fairly instantly appear.

So, it happened. I figured it might, but not so early on in my adventures. I ate chicken sashimi. I ATE RAW CHICKEN. I ate raw chicken and I didn`t die and it was tasty and I might do it again. I might need to be as drunk as I was, but I fairly crushed the foreign act of coming face to face with death and taking a shit right on it.

I drank sake and ended up spilling a lot of it in my lap. I thought nobody noticed, they did. It`s okay though, I think she was happy that I was drunker than her. One of my new best pals is a 51 year old teacher who came along and he was impressed with my knowledge of the `older` music. This morning while we greeted students together, we organised to do a Duran Duran duet when everyone does karaoke. I think he can be my new dad!
