Vanilla Pudding and Peanut M&M's . My secret ingredient was pudding. It was my only ingredient, actually, I just got the M&M's out of the vending machine to liven up an otherwise dull party. And boy, did they! 🎶💃🎶 . PLATING: I used your run-of-the-mill Styrofoam bowl for the sugary colloid. It made sense. The bright colors of the M&M's popped noticeably (apart from the yellows, my least favorite anyway) against the mute tone of the pudding. Being wet and comparatively mouth-like (as opposed to hand-like), the pudding began to melt the candy coating, creating vibrant, aesthetically pleasing color swirls with each scoop of the spoon. . TASTE: Crunchy sugar with a burst of salt in the middle like depth charges in a creamy-sugar ocean. Allow me to ellaborate: the vanilla was mild, an ideal match for the mild milk chocolate of the M&M's. I liked the bites with M&M's more. I wasn't sure how the salty peanuts would mix but it was totally fine and I was just being a worry wort. In fact it wasn't just fine, it was explosive, like a firecracker in a good way! In a plain sea of squishy pudding, the crunch of the candy shells and nuts (and the bite of their salt) made for sporadic, dichotomous bursts of non-monotonous crunch texture and taste (salt taste). . ORIGINALITY: I'll admit this isn't the most original dish I've ever whipped up. My resources were restricted fairly heavily, and they still are so I won't be able to make more for you if you want to judge it for yourselves. Or if I do you'll have to share one bowl.
