'Look for the human in everyone you meet'

Different cultures, different religions, different colors, different sizes, different beliefs, different ideas and the list goes on...the only way to be is to be open, curious, accepting of each other's differences.

Take a group of people in your mind that you don't identify with, and imagine meeting a person from that group. Now imagine that you are both 4 years old. Our kids KNOW. they know to notice and name a difference, but not judge it.

They know to look for the human in everyone they meet.

But it's socialized out of us real quick- there's layers and layers and layers of indoctrination heaped onto us from birth. So many i dont even know. But i keep finding them, peeling them away.

The children of America are watching him. Julius Caesar didn't come out of nowhere to end democracy in Rome. He watched another man named Sulla do it first-- and then he learned how to do it better. Also, democratic Romans hated monarchies. The title of "King" was universally despised. The Romans invented a new word for the times in crisis or war when they would elect a short term solo leader. They called the office "Dictator," and felt safe that this powerful king-like job was both democratically elected and short term. When Caesar ultimately took power, he could not call himself a king, so he simply named himself "Dictator for Life." We developed our contemporary distaste for "Dictators" by examining history. When The American constitution was written, we invented a new word for our short term solo leaders.
