being in a relationship was never miya's priority. instead, skating seemed to be his whole world, while everything else was just an afterthought

you knew that skating was important to him and you never expected you to become more important than skating to him

but you had at least hoped that miya would pay some attention to you, after you tried to ask him out so many times and tried to get closer to him

but he never had any time for you. he was always practicing, always busy, no matter when you asked

slowly, you began to ask him less often. until eventually, you gave up altogether

it was at that time that you began to hang out more with reki, who you had ran into a few times, thanks to miya

for reki, you immediately became more important than skating! you were his friend and someone he cared about. enough to even skip his job or training, just to spend time with you

reki was there for you after you gave up on miya and he was the one to lift you up again, until you found yourself falling in love with him instead

but around that time, miya slowly began to miss your presence. sure, he always turned you down, but he still missed you asking him for a coffee after practice or to watch a movie together

for a long time, miya didn't see you anymore, wondering what became of you. until one night, he spotted you at S!

just as he was about to approach you, he noticed the boy next to you. a familiar red head, who had his arm wrapped around you and was peppering your face with kisses, while you laughed

miya froze, staring at the two of you. and then, he turned around and ran off

he didn't know where he'd go, but he knew he couldn't stand seeing you two together. nor did he want you to notice him staring

that night wasn't the last one where he saw you with reki. your appearances at S became more frequent, as you wanted to cheer on your boyfriend!

miya continued to avoid you, trying his hardest to forget about you. but it never worked. somewhere between the last time you two spoke and now, he had developed feelings for you

perhaps, he had felt this way for a while now. though he only realized it while it was already too late and had moved on from him…
