Indulge in a rich and decadent breakfast with these Chocolate Stout Waffles. The addition of chocolate stout beer and cocoa powder makes these waffles extra chocolaty, and the Chocolate-Peanut Butter Syrup takes them to the next level of deliciousness. Perfect for a special brunch or whenever you're craving a sweet treat.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup cocoa powder. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/4 tsp salt. 2 large eggs. 1 1/2 cups chocolate stout beer. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Cooking spray for waffle iron. 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips optional.
Instructions: Follow the directions that came with your waffle iron to get it hot. Mix the cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl with a whisk. First, beat the eggs in a different bowl. Then, add the chocolate stout beer, melted butter, buttermilk, and vanilla extract. Mix everything together well. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together just until they are mixed. You can add the chocolate chips if you want to. Spray cooking spray on the waffle iron if it needs it, and then pour in enough batter to cover the waffle grids. Follow the maker's directions for cooking time and close the waffle iron. Usually, it takes 3 to 5 minutes or until the waffles are crisp and brown. Do not drop the waffles while you are making the syrup. Keep them warm while you do this. To make the peanut butter chocolate syrup: Put 1/2 cup of peanut butter and 1/2 cup of chocolate syrup in a bowl that can go in the microwave. In 30-second bursts, stir the mixture in the microwave until it is smooth and warm. Put some Chocolate-Peanut Butter Syrup on top of the Chocolate Stout Waffles before the meal. Have fun!
