Baizhi seems to agree. “Chixia, I do not believe this is a good time for sparring,” she chides sternly, earning her a pout. Baizhi turns towards her, posture shifting to wary curiosity. “And I do not believe we caught your name either. If it is alright, I would like to know who you are.” Her eyes narrow briefly. “As well as why you are with Yangyang.” She blinks at the suspicion that flashes through Baizhi’s eyes, at the accusation underlying her words. She opens her mouth—to either explain or defend herself, she isn’t sure—but before she has the chance to, Yangyang interjects. “No, Baizhi, you’ve got it all wrong,” she says emphatically, waving her hands to dispel the misunderstanding. “I was in the Gorges of Spirits trying to find a way out, when I found her just… laying there on the ground.” Her voice takes on a pleading tone, as if trying to will Baizhi to understand. “She was unconscious and in a dangerous place. As an Outrider, it was my duty to help her.” Baizhi hums again, folding her arms across her chest. “Be that as it may, you cannot deny that these anomalous disturbances coincide around the time we found her.” Baizhi’s eyes flick to her. “Given the current circumstances over at Desorock Highland, you have to admit the timing is rather… suspicious.”
you probably dont know who any of these characters are 😂 but mayhaps if you read you'll find out~ 👀
"They breathed in and out together. Listening to the sound of Aang’s voice, concentrating on her breath, Katara started to relax, and thoughts of bloodbending began to fade away. But once he stopped directing her, she forgot all about breathing, and the lure of bloodbending became impossible to resist. Her fingertips burned against his palms, and she started to reach inside, ever so slightly, seeking the veins that ran through his hands.
“Aang! It’s not working! I can’t control myself—” she said, panicking.
But instead of pulling away, Aang curled his fingers around her trembling hands."

Summary:
After being forced to learn bloodbending, Katara is haunted by the way it has changed her. Aang tries to help her in his own way, with unexpected results. Takes place after the events of “The Puppetmaster” (S3 E08).
This is dedicated to @chocomd , my favourite Kataang fanfic writer. I tried to illustrate a scene from her story.
Hope you like it girl, and keep up the good work!
Would you ever write Jetko fic?
HI CHOCO (sorry i fell asleep last night before i could answer this)
so, i don't know if i'd ever write an exclusively jetko fic bc jetko alone doesn't necessarily compel™ me, HOWEVER i have blurbed about jetaangko before and i could definitely see myself writing about jetko in conjunction with jetaang and zukaang. the post-canon possibilities... how jet might have survived... how aang instills hope in him after the war has ended... (where can jet direct his rage at the fire nation after the fire nation has been defeated, and why is the answer that aang shows him how to work toward restorative rather than retributive justice?) and also the mutual nature of that hope and healing shared by zuko!!
so again, maybe not jetko alone, but i think the triangulation of jet, aang, and zuko is a very powerful one

Chocooooo!!! Ooooh good choices. This one's gonna get zuko-centric, bahaha, but I SWEAR I enjoy his canon character, just not the way he is portrayed/exists in fanon.
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about: that Zuko's redemption arc is complete at the end of the show and he's all good now. He was literally making racist comments about Aang, the very last of his people who were wiped out BY ZUKO'S FAMILY, two episodes before the finale. He has some racist and misogynist and colonialist ways of thinking that are deeply ingrained and will take a lifetime of unlearning. He's going to fuck up many times in the future, still. Zuko is not wise like Iroh (who I love but has his own issues) and I could do without him being the one everyone goes to for advice in fanfiction. When he tries to be like Iroh in canon he winds up saying stupid things like "take a bite out of the silver sandwich" or "look inside yourself to save yourself from your other self," like come ON fandom. Zuko is great as a character but let's not make him into something he's not.
12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them: This is hard because I didn't really know there were unpopular characters? haha. I guess maybe Mai--I know she gets a lot of hate from certain corners of fandom but I really enjoy her. She is impossible to write (for me) but I still try to work her into stories because I think she adds something unique and her friendships with the gaang members are so interesting to me. I know she gets portrayed as "the gloomy girl who sighs a lot" but there's so much more to her (as we see in episodes like The Beach but also a bit in the comics) and she's one of the very few characters who can ever make Zuko smile (the other being Aang when he tells Zuko he's smart, hahaha), which is a feat in and of itself.
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc): Zuko has often been portrayed as this sexy, suave, emotionally-intelligent bad-boy who would be great in bed. I just... don't see it in canon (that's Aang, guys--you're talking about AANG, Mister parents-called-on-the-second-day-of-school, with multiple gaggles of adoring fangirls and a silver tongue). I think Zuko is awkward, brash, often-offensive, has a hard time finding the right words, still uses anger to cover up any other emotions, and his sex-ed was probably limited to the mechanics of baby-making and didn't include anything about pleasing a partner. Maybe he improves on some of these things as he ages (probably with a lot of help from Aang and Mai, when he lets her), but this is not who he is as a character and I don't understand why so much of fandom portrays him that way.
Thanks for playing the Choose Violence Ask Game, friend! This was fun 🤣
For Talk Shop Tuesday, which fe:3h fic of yours would you recommend to a new reader, and why?
(The new reader being me 😂)
Hi there! So since I know you're into dimileth I would probably go for Reassuring Touches! It's very short and should give you a quick but good idea what my usual vibe for that pairing is. Birds of Paradise is another one if you want something slightly longer but still can read quickly in one sitting and the same soft vibes I write for them. I have other dimileth and fe3h fics that varies widely in both length, pairings, and ratings, but those should be a good start!

Thank you, Choco!
8 - answered here!
12 - the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them - Is it a cop out to say Aang? I mean, outside of the fandom he's pretty well-liked, as the protagonist of a series should be. For how incredible, unique, and multi-faceted of a character that he is, he should be way more popular.
18 - it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on - Every culture outside of the Fire Nation (particularly the Air Nomads), Jetko, Jet as a character in general, The Guru (I get that it's hard to precede The Crossroads of Destiny, but holy shit, what an episode), sapphic ships, past Avatars that aren't Kyoshi, the Sun Warriors, Aang's fight with Ozai.
