An analysis by Deloitte Access Economics, a consultancy firm, found that Australia’s economy will either suffer or benefit – the outcome depends on whether its government addresses the climate crisis. If climate issues go unchecked, there will be 880,000 fewer jobs, and the economy will be 6% smaller with $3.4tn...
BYEEE i let chris die bc i didn't know about guide at the time and thought he'll live anyway 😭 surprised pikachu face when i saw the consequences of my actions, kinda glad tho bc i just can't imagine him w the current group? like he's supposed to be your bestie so imagine telling him you fucked the entity that lived in your head
shshshsj NO BUT ACTUALLY, it's so fun to have chris in the current group because either he acts like the mom friend OR he gets tremendously bullied ehshshshshshs and also his reaction to Roe sleeping w Z is 😂 lookkkkk
(1/5) With Chris, you have layers. If you weren’t in this situation, you’d still have to deal with him struggling with how he grew up, the things he’d learned, and the expectations placed on him, especially if you play as a guy or nonbinary person. But learning about the supernatural adds a confounding layer, because not only are you trying to get a grip on that reality, you’re also running for your life. So you never fully have time to come to terms with stuff because you’re trying not to die.
(2/5) And it’s completely reasonable for him to grow more and more frustrated the more Roe pushes to save Sydero. It doesn’t make ANY sense from a self-preservation standpoint to dive headfirst into danger when you don’t have to. And it’s even more frustrating when you know that, and you know that you’re not wrong in thinking it, but your best friend/partner keeps doing it, putting themself and you in danger. And that’s not even considering his feelings about Sydero.
(3/5) It makes sense to me that he would revert to comforts (the girls at the party, flirting) or otherwise withdraw (going on a ‘break’). He can’t go to Roe for comfort because Roe is not human and therefore part of what he’s trying to come to grips with, they don’t even have control over themself, they’re possibly not a gender he figured he’d be with or be allowed to be with (that voice in his head that sounds suspiciously like his father isn’t helping), and they’re the very force that keeps..
(4/5) ...driving them into danger for Sydero. Stressful is an understatement for all of that. Realistically, I can’t say I would behave much differently from him. I might complain less, but I’d probably withdraw more until I get to a really unhealthy place. He still annoys the heck out of me but, all things considered, he’s handling everything remarkably well. When you're in rough spots in life, sometimes you have to be selfish with your resources (love, time, etc.) in order to keep going.
(5/5) It absolutely hurt when he withdrew, but you create such well-rounded characters that it genuinely feels like he’s doing it for him, and struggling with it, not just doing it for The Drama™. Instead of it being a story that ignores other characters' struggles for the sake of the main character, our Roe's needs aren't always able to be fulfilled by those struggling with them. It feels weird and it sucks when you want that support, but it's super interesting to go through in this context.

I’m just proud that I started off writing Mary Sue’s and talking animals (lmao don’t use that against me you guys) and I’m now able to actually create a character with decent depth. Started from the bottom and I’m ... somewhere.
