Ive seen a lot of people saying that Till is mute now, but im not sure I agree

1. There are other reasonable explanations for why Till wouldn’t speak to the children
What occurred to me when I was looking at this scene was whether or not the children even know how to speak? Presumably, they would learn how to speak while in Anakt, but they hadn’t been taken there yet. So even if Till spoke, they might not understand him. This is supported by the fact that the images still drew had no words (except for “tunnel”). These children possibly would not be able to understand any spoken or written language. Another reason could be to hide his identity, but that makes less sense in this scenario.
2. What would be the cause for his mutism?
The two explanations I’ve seen are that his vocal cords got injured when he was shot, or it’s a result of trauma. The injury is possible, but it likely wouldn’t have damaged his throat based on the placement of his scars, and the source of the scarring is still unclear. It could’ve been from the shot or trying to remove his name from the side of his neck. A result of trauma, however, makes absolutely no sense to me. I think it would be contradictory to his character because a lot of his trauma surrounds him being silenced. He was muzzled all the time because he would lash out. Now, he’s finally able to speak freely and rebel how he wants against the aliens without being made fun of or turned into a spectacle. I don’t see why he would feel compelled not to speak now that he has this freedom.
3. In Alien Stage, it’s not unusual for a scene to be silent where people would normally be talking
Most of the time, characters don’t really speak in alnst scenes. The few exceptions being monologues and when Mizi spoke to Luka at the beginning of Karma. Characters speak mostly to communicate their feelings or ideas in the story and not to explain what is happening. There are a lot of scenes where people would be speaking, but instead just have sound effects. And also, they hire vas separate from the singers. Overall, this series is not at all dialogue driven and giving Till lines may have required hiring another voice actor
4. Stupid Reason: He’s credited as having a voice
So Akugetsu (my goat) is credited as Till’s va for the 3 seconds of breathing at the end of Karma, which is kind of funny on its own. If we’re going very literally here, they credit Till as having a voice. I acknowledge this is semantics and very stupid but I did want to point it out regardless.
Like Luka’s breathes….A LOT…at the beginning of Wiege and as Hyuna is dying, but the va who did that is not credited. It only has Hyuna’s voice. Yet they credited Till as having a voice when he breathed for even less time.
I welcome people to (respectfully) argue with me on this in the comments. I would like to hear other interpretations.
I'm really tired of the dms of: "Why did you block me?" I get people might wanna know "why". But I get blocked sometimes too and I don't go off and ask people. But I'll get dms on my main like "I'm crying... why did you block me on your side?"
I'm allowed to block and ya'll don't need a reason. & it feels uncomfortable with how many people have to ask *why*, or try to tell me there crying or having a panic attack etc. (I really don't like guilt trips. & this is how it feels. Like if someone blocks me. I don't message them going 'omg why did you block me, i can't breathe. :( I'm having a panic attack, pls unblock me" YET I get this. ) all because I blocked them.
just learned the term "proship"... far as I can tell it's anyone who likes a ship that has been "deemed problematic" which like. this is tumblr. EVERYTHING has been deemed problematic in some way. I'm so confused and tired.
