Back on my bs, this time with my take on Floyd’s post trauma design!
I remembered that we have these two pillows around that are really long, but not long enough to be body pillows. I'm not sure what they're actually supposed to be for, but they've turned out to be nice for keeping my feet elevated a bit while I'm sleeping. Eo really likes them too, which is sometimes a problem when I'm trying to get in to bed and she won't move. Also, she's gotten used to hanging out down by my feet, and gets annoyed when I'm in my recliner and she can't be by my feet because they're out in the air
When u hit ur inhaler bc ur athsma is finally bothering u and u get the biggest headrush & immediately have to lie/sit down bc ur abt to hit the deck if u don't
A IV port
It took 4 needle sticks to get my vein for the IV yesterday. Not only stressful but painful. I may have dulled sensation on my skin but it certainly still feels needles. This was my nurses 5 infusion with me. Each time it is getting harder and harder to start the IV. Yesterday this process took us almost an hour. We had to break out the heating pad to try to warm my arm up. It eventually helped,…

Circulatory issues possibly Raynaud’s Syndrome
Circulatory issues possibly Raynaud’s Syndrome
So I went to the podiatrist. As soon as he looked at my feet the first words he said was your feet are swollen. He asked if I could possibly have Raynaud’s syndrome, have I seen a vascular doctor? Oy-vey… I knew the swelling isn’t normal but another doctor. He said the good news is I feel the pulse, that means that the blood is in there still circulating through my feet. However, he said this is…

Unlock Your Hip Flexors
The shocking ways that tight hips are holding you back… that you won’t believe
Here's the truth: Most people don’t realize the cause of their problems is tight hip flexors.
The impact the hips had on the whole body never occurred to me until I saw the effect of tight hip flexors had on the health and well-being of my wife after she gave birth.
It was only then that I truly understood the magnitude of the problem.
We're not just talking about a bit of soreness; tight hip flexors are the root cause of problems such as:
I can feel every muscle and tendon in my legs.
[tl;dr - random rambling about yoga and health and blah, blah, blah.)
So, I'm not the healthiest guy on the block. I'm not in great shape, I have an awful diet that does not even hope to properly nourish my body, and aside from working my ass off five days a week, I'm pretty sedentary at home. But it's all gotten really old and boring and frustrating recently, and I have introduced a few changes.
One of the more exciting aspects of that would be the ad-hoc yoga routines I'm doing twice a day - just after waking and just before bed. I learned a good bit about yoga, as well as breathing exercises and proper stretching, in therapy years ago. So when I tied this little routine together, I kinda just... jumped into it, thinking it would be rather "whatever," in all honesty.
Heh.
Not even close.
Dear heavens, my legs are on fire. As a bit of background, I have slow circulation in my legs (my toes are blocks of ice at night, even though I myself have been described as a space heater lol), as well as some piecemeal nerve issues (bilateral sciatica with sporadic relapsing-remitting patterns, as well as mild neuropathies that just come and go as they please). I think in the last few months, I've been letting my leg muscles get tight and knotty without realizing it. The stretches I've forced myself through the last few days have made me quite well aware of this, with the lovely burning aches and pains that come with the territory.
I did notice that my legs didn't get as tired and achy as normal today at work. (Long hours of standing non-stop, interrupted only by running around briefly? Aggravates the nerves and gives me freaking cramps.) So that's a plus. Now I just need to figure out how to apply the same principle to my back.
Anyways, long post is long.
I'm gonna go make some jasmine tea and go to bed. Work all day tomorrow. >.>-b
