I haven't been responsible to myself lately...
Now, there's a stranger looking back at me.
So, I have this coloring app I like to use occasionally (especially when I'm anxious). And tonight I opened it up and saw there was a Pesach picture I could colour. I didn't look too hard at it before starting, but as time went on I realized something wasn't right.
This is the worst Seder plate I've ever seen. Just matzah, mint(?), and... I guess that's supposed to be a dish of horseradish? No charoset, no shank bone, no egg; nothing. (And what's with the flowers? Like, I guess they just wanted some extra colour? But that's not really a normal thing for the holiday?)
This is why you need to actually talk to people in the community. Like, even if you went and Google image searched it you'd see that it's not "matzah on a plate."
What I love in the movies
I have seen more movies this year than I have in years, and I have a confession to make--I have loved almost all of them. I think about one of the smartest people I have ever known, who told me that there is always something to like and always something to learn in everything that you see. And he was absolutely right. So one of the things that I learned this year is that I am not a movie critic. I am a movie lover. I can share what I loved, and what confused me, in the movies that I see. But I am going to try not to criticize too much, because there are too many people who already do that.
Criticism is a destructive force in marriage. Don't be critical of your spouse and don't surround yourself with people who are critical of your spouse. Be an encourager; not a critic.
tiresome
you know when someone (a family member) consistently criticizes you and complains about every little thing in life, it's sickening. i had to go to the bathroom and lock the door to just breathe. i cant tell u how much i hate this i cant even breathe but its like this is someone i love & i just want to tell them to say Alhamdulilaah for everything we have but its like complain after complain after criticism. and i just wanna give up and stop trying to do anything like i cant live like this
Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man's growth without destroying his roots.

Do what you feel in your heart to be right--for you'll be criticized anyway.
