cleric idea: your cleric serves a very small, very weak god, and through some form of means you and any other followers, if any, aim to work towards building your gods power, or perhaps restoring lost power. this can be characterized in game by how when you level up, you grow more powerful, and this could reflect how through your efforts your deity is growing more powerful as well

On having long hair:

female women and girls are not the only ones who have long hair. Long hair is not exclusive to any gender or set of reproductive organs. One’s hairstyle is not an indicator of one’s gender but of one’s style, personality, or gender expression. I am neither a girl nor a woman, nor a boy nor a man, I am a joy. My hair is growing long and usually pretty free because I want to show off the Chaotic side of my personality, like people in hair bands* and like all Clerics of Lliira tend to do. I think it’s cool! 🎵Give me a head of hair, long beautiful hair, shining, streaming... 🎵  I forgot how it goes, but my hair is really brown and not flaxen which is more of a golden, yellow, or blond color iirc. It’s not my fault if I get mistaken for something I’m not. I don’t hate people themselves for making the mistake, but I still really hate when it happens. Sometimes I can laugh it off and try to find it funny, other times I don’t care, and still other times I get frustrated, sad, and angry about it. All feelings I have about that are okay. I, personally, choose to set boundaries with those I interact with often and not care to correct those I don’t hang with. *Hair bands - classic rock and metal musicians known for having big, long, wild-looking hair, in this case, not the fashion accessory.  (I do have this rainbow hair band I love, though, but it’s not like a ponytail sort of thing, it’s more like a head band that keeps the bangs out of my face and makes me all colorful and shiny!)

I made this meme thing from stock images and from pictures done by Wizards of the Coast in dedication to my Goddess, Lliira, Our Lady of Joy and Mistress of Revels! 🎵 I do it for her, and I would do it again! I do it for all, that is to say I do it for her! 🎵 I had to choose a small sample of what I studied about what is associated with her so it would fit along with a depiction of her and the symbol for her. It was a bit tricky making sure it was all layered nicely to match it up. Below, I have highlighted what I used. “Multi-colored butterflies, robins, sparrows, bluebirds, rainbows, kittens, puppies, pinto or piebald horses, gold or white goats, daisies, violets, snapdragons, pansies, opals, agates, lynx eye gems, microclines, silk-stones, rhodochrosites, rosalines, phenalopes, star rose quartz, tabasheers, tremairs, jasmals, fire opals, and diamonds are all signs of her good favor. Rubies and sapphires are sacred to Our Lady of Joy, and her priests bless anyone they see wearing such adornments.”

Feeling better!

Jolly is feeling so much better than yesterday! Jolly has gotten some more sleep and has been playing Jolly’s new game in Seabeard and plans on making some sweet potato waffles to have in the freezer for whenever. They will be having some more tuna salad for lunch. (They made a lot.) They plan on giving their dad some pizza from those leftovers as part of a meal, maybe with some watermelon or mixed fruit. Maybe, during the course of the day, Jolly will look through the pronouns tag and validate some people for fun. Jolly thanks Jolly’s deity Lliira for giving Jolly the ability to bring joy to others as she brings joy, and things that can help Jolly bring joy, to Jolly. Perhaps they will dance, today!

warlock pacts are mostly made as transactional actions where both parties get something out of it, and while cleric relationships to their deities, whether theyre well known or completely obscure, do also contain some transactional elements, it is not the goal of a cleric to have a transactional relationship with their deity. a clerics goal is to enact their own agenda through the teachings, the moral code, and the faith of their deity. and even then, thats a little bit too rigid of an explanation for a clerics relationship to their deity. 

its also important to remember while thinking about clerics is that the concept of being religious is to be fully submissive and yielding and faithful to an ambiguous, all-powerful figure is almost entirely christian nonsense. other religions dont work that way, and if you choose to employ this method of religion onto every cleric you make/see, youre doing these characters, these religions, and even yourself, a great misservice.

tired: clerics treat their deities like untouchable figures they must fully submit to and follow and base all their actions around. must have Faith as a Concept and Action.

wired: clerics with more complex relationships to their deities that dont revolve around religious stereotypes gained through treating religion as a very concept through the eyes of constrictive christian tradition

I’ve finally decided what Fausto’s Spiritual Weapon looks like! It’s a bone scythe wrapped in vines and reddish black flames! 😊
