Interesting how Clay (instinctively) wanted to break the eggs, and the guardians stopped him, while Peril didn't want to burn the eggs, and Scarlet forced her to. This was the beginning of both of them being called monsters, sending them on a long spiral that damaged their psyches. And it happened on the same day.
