also to add on to my last post. Another problem I have with those types of aesthetics, movements, etc is it's so easy for the people doing them to not be doing it for the right reason. When a twenty year old girl decides to become a minimalist to help the environment, throws away her entire closet and everything she owns she's only doing it for the environment on like,,, the barest level. No one person doing anything causes enough of a difference to help. They do it because they want change. They want an ego boost. They want people to know that they can afford to live on three total items and it alleviates the guilt they feel for having that privilege because it's "for the enviroment"

but it's not for the environment. it's for you. atleast be honest about it before you make a youtube channel shitting on poor people for using straws.
