I have some random-ass AU ideas that idk if I'm ever gonna do, so I'ma yap about em so they don't vanish from my brain forever lol

Abduction AU - thinking about calling it something cool like "The Viper's Tongue" or "Abduction of Faith." It's an AU where Solar goes with Nexus that night and they end up having a pretty toxic dynamic. The whole idea of the AU is both loving the other deeply, enough to be blind to how they're hurting each other. (I'm also thinking about, if I do this AU, connecting it to Overseer Moon's "Solar rescue program.")

Ghost Eclipse AU - I'm imagining that one scene where v3 Eclipse first shows himself and Sun and Moon first think it's Solar. But like... what if it was Solar, and Eclipse was speaking through him? And Eclipse starts returning as a menace via hijacking people's minds, bodies, and voices.

Insane Eclipse - this is an ooold one- but I had this idea a while back where when Moon is about to kill v2 Eclipse, he just leaves him trapped in that invisible box instead, and Eclipse gradually goes insane, muttering about the astrals and laughing at his situation.

So the reset au.

~The Reset ask~

Y'know what- that's- such a good question haha- lemme just info dump some of the basics of the AU :D

So the basis of the AU is Eclipse reviving with his memory completely corrupted. It's all there, but he can't access it. He gets hazy and even feels physical pain when trying to reach for memories.

Another key note: he has a recovery program running. It's gradually taking his memory files and fixing them. It takes a long time, but he will start to remember everything, bit by bit.

The first thing he remembers is "Lunar." Not the person, just a name. A feeling he can't quite place. A tingling, numbing pain when he tries to reach for more.

New Moon is out searching for copies of Eclipse when he runs across the facility Reset Eclipse is in. He finds him awake in a dark room lit by the blue light of a large screen. At first, he's furious, yelling. Quickly, though, Eclipse's mannerisms seem off. He seems afraid, confused, even curious. He's asking strange questions.

Moon's not easily convinced, though. He's still incredibly suspicious of him, thinking this is all an elaborate act. He can't think of why Eclipse would act this way, though. He's found a starry eyed Eclipse in depressing bunker, asking questions like, "Did you just wake up too?" and "Do you know me?"

Seeing him fascinated by every little thing is off-putting to Moon. He's short with Eclipse. Eclipse is frustrated in return.

All Eclipse really knows is that he's already been labeled "bad" and "evil" by someone that supposedly knows him but that he just met. He's smart enough to start connecting two and two and realize that something's wrong with his memories, but it doesn't feel fair to him to be judged for actions he can't even remember. It's frustrating that Moon won't even elaborate on his supposed wrongdoings.

Moon ends up taking Eclipse back to the Pizza Plex to a computer so he can check his systems (this is how he discovers the recovery program). He doesn't tell anyone, planning for it to be a short trip, in and out. They run into Lunar. Eclipse freezes up, feeling some recognition that he still can't place. A brief argument happens between Eclipse and Moon, Eclipse frustrated by the expectations and accusations. Lunar is frightened, Moon is angry, and Eclipse backs off upon seeing Lunar staring at him with fear.

So yeah. Eclipse starts life confused, then enraptured by the world. Within his first day, though, he quickly finds himself exhausted by the feeling guilt for something he can't even remember doing.

(I'm still rolling the scene around in my head, but it's been up in the noggin for a while so I had to draw it- I swear lmao, I'm giving this poor man schizophrenia at this point </3)

I still do not know how far he goes. But for context, the voice that shouts his name and breaks him from his trance is New Moon's.

And for anyone who has no idea what is being referenced, and with a potential trigger warning of near suicide and hallucinations below the cut, though he does not actually fall in what I've drawn, rather swaying back towards safety when he's brought back to his senses:

Sun's hand led him, promising release. He only followed. I'm not sure he even fully saw the edge before him. His internal versions of Nightmare and Daydream are twisted things. (Nightmare was already twisted though. Daydream has become a fallen angel in his mind, an evil he can only see as perfect.)

will there be a solar depiction in the coliseum au? I think it'd be neat if he faced off against one of mc's or appeared when introducing new characters or something

~Coliseum AU Ask~

This AU is focused on Eclipse and Puppet. So, no, Solar won't be within the main cast, nor will he be associated with the gladiators in any way. However! I've had it decided for a bit now that he does exist in the world. Thanks to this ask, I'm considering briefly looping him into a semi critical role in the story, as well.

Here, just drew up a concept / ref of him!

LORE CHANGE NOTE: Dragonkin don't have split face colors. Eclipse is strikingly abnormal in that feature. In the corner can be found tentative redesigns of Neoma's and Faheem's faces.

Solar is also a "dragonkin" (I will name the species eventually), specifically a peak-dancer. I'm thinking he also had a poor life situation with "his Moon," but I don't have much story for him figured out. Nebula will be some kind of rare / magical creature. Solar moved solo before (uncommon for dragonkin, but not completely unheard of), focused mostly on exploring and learning. I haven't decided how he meets Nebula yet, but they end up traveling together.

Jack is also still his son in this AU, but not biological. Jack is an orphan that Solar takes under his wing to teach and protect (Solar likely ran from his "family" as an older juvenile, so he relates to Jack in that regard).

The way I may loop Solar briefly into a pivotal role of the AU is through Nebula. Nebula was taken and put into the coliseum. Solar will eventually find her and rescue her. That will likely be the only time he crosses paths with the main cast.

I have not decided on any of their names in AU yet.

Outfit layers below the cut:

Any gear / clothing going over his shoulders ties behind his neck. He can't cover his wings, and the two lower "fins" would make a strap down the middle of his back uncomfortable. I may modify his clothing designs in the future, though.

Solar made his two prosthetics himself. He does not wear them all the time.

I have not fully laid out all his scars. I may update that later, but for now, I'm not going to worry about every detail of his design.

I had the wildest dream last night- aside from the random parts where it was Naruto instead of SaMS characters, uh, Nexus was alive again and Solar found him and it was pretty cool. Might draw art based on it later if I have time, it was kinda cool :D

Nexus was doin some sorta voice projection power or whatever to try and let the others find him (idk lol), and the pov was centered on Solar, who was running through rooms and up stairs tryna find him. This intercom sorta voice starts breaking and cutting out, and Nexus decides that they're not gonna find him like this.

In a final attempt with his remaining power, bro throws himself through a window or smth, right where Solar is, does a buncha rolling and tumbling, then lands flat on his back in the center of the room. Idk, it was unnecessarily dramatic and lacked a ton of coherency as my dreams tend to, but it was cool lol

It was at some sorta space base or smth, I have no idea. Another planet, perhaps. Had kind of a cross between outpost and futuristic look.
