[08.11] Happy Birthday, Cloud

The stars seemed to accompany the solitude of a delivery boy staying at campfire in the middle of his on the way home. But maybe after midnight, his cell phone would ring many times; indicating incoming messages from many people --- even if they did deliver the words right at the turn of the day. There is no need to compete who is the first to say it, we still have 24 hours and that does not reduce the essence of their greeting. Maybe even, when the blond arrived at the doorstep of Seventh Heaven tomorrow evening, a surprise or party had been waiting for him

But one serene night in the absence of others Is an opportunity for another man reaching out. Ah, the blond is sleeping peacefully of course, what time is it? Thus, he didn't wanna wake him up.

It was like... a reminiscence of the nights they ever spent three years ago, in the countryside, or even far from people. The man would’ve preferred to call their activity as travelling all over Gaia despite being fugitive to cheer them up; even if the comatose blond had no response. But he had dreamed the better version of this; the real version with the two not being hunted, and with the younger male consciously setting up the tent and enjoying the barbeque the older would cook.

But as the stars blinked above them, it forever remained as a wish only. A wish that could never come true.

Though, this night isn’t the only time the man watched over his friend. When he walked out of the church and waved his goodbye that day one year ago, he already knew that his friend would be okay from now on. Even when he witnessed a major fight, he had believed his friend didn’t need a hand from him since it wasn’t the first time battle. And truth to be told, everything he told his friend to do before had been proven. But it turned out he insisted on having one more year to convey something important in summary. The memento had to be today. And this would be the final one.

So he left a voicemail. Don’t ask how it works when he has a Cetra girl by his side. And he hoped the blond didn’t delete the message from an unknown number before trying to listen to it.

“Yo!  Happy 24th birthday, buddy.  You're older than me now. 

And it means the adventure of your life just begins. 5 years, 10 years, even till 50 years later. Aim higher than me!

Yeah, I was just waiting for the day you finally reach it and surpass me in everything. ---note that, not just age. Everything.

And that was today.  So I can say this once again to convince you and for last:  You did. And I'm proud of you. 

Well, I wish I could celebrate it every year, sadly, I must really go from now on. I know you would keep looking forward even if I didn’t watch ‘cause I don’t wanna kick your butt outta here.  So, thank you, Cloud, for being my living legacy.

Wish you all the best, always. Zack.” 

There was a beep and vibration, a sign that the message was sent. And with that, a white feather is flying down.

Cloud Smile in kalimba version

LMAO. I know its so bad. I didnt change the tune at all cuz idk how 😂. Forgive me for that. I'm an amateur ~

I purchased this kalimba online during the lockdown months. The main reason was bcause i loved music box, but sometimes the music box didnt have the songs I wanted, so I just decided to learn them on my own. And I practiced some FF7 songs here, at this small village where I'm currently doing my intern

p/s : Square Enix has just launched a new FF7 merchandise - MUSIC BOX !!

Welll... The price is okaaaaaaaaay (probably?) but hmmmm

I'm a broke intern, so Im just gonna continue playing my kalimba until the day where I can finally afford myself to buy this stuff
