those fellars are apart of jay's oc world named Clover Consistency! they tend to draw them and write about them when they're supposed to be doing work. like this:

I’m going to be honest, Shea x Bea isn’t really my cup of tea, but I’d take it over Shea x Victor any day.

Victor does NOT read as someone who’d be in a relationship to be honest. They read to me like someone who cannot fathom ever being alone a day in their life, and so they force someone else into a partnership with them just so they never have to come to terms with the fact that being your own fucking person without someone constantly lifting you up is Actually The Healthy Way To Go About Things.

They want to be loved without putting in any of the work, so they force a romantic relationship in order to get that “love” while thinking they are owed it. It’s like trying to force a puzzle piece into a place it doesn’t fit, except I legitimately do not think that there is a “correct” puzzle piece for Victor.

OH MY GOD A CRIT BLOG. FINALLY. HI. ARE WE GOING TO TALK ABOUT HOW BEA IS LITERALLY A BETTER FRIEND THAN VICTOR IS. BECAUSE BEA ACTUALLY TRUSTS SHEA TO DO THINGS. victor is such a fucking asshole theyre constantly like "ohhhh this art isnt good but shea did their best... shea isnt smart but theyre trying..." ITS SO BACKHANDED. and then instead of letting shea do anything on their own they yell at the others for not helping them!!!! but ohhhh BEA is somehow in the wrong for not wiping shea's ass or whatever fucking thing jay decides shea is too fucking stupid to do. it actually pisses me off

I'm going to try to keep a level head about this, because despite my growing disdain for this comic I do NOT want Jay to receive any harassment (nor do I ever want them to see this blog to be quite clear), but the fact that we see everything from Victor's perspective makes me fucking despise them as a character.

NOTHING Victor has to say is ever nice. They are CONSTANTLY putting down the others around them, even if it's """intended""" to be a compliment. Ester is always "too loud", Rooney is always "too controlling", Bea is always "so full of it". Even Shea, who Jay LIKES, can't escape this??? They're always portrayed as being too pure and innocent to do anything right, Victor just ALWAYS has to swoop in to "protect" them. The infantilization of Shea is insane and I am SICK OF IT.

Like, Bea can be a bit rough around the edges, but at least it actually seems like they care???? And not that backwards "caring" that Victor does where they just REFUSE to let Shea be their own person without Victor's influence, because Bea actually gives Shea space to BREATHE. They don't need to be around Shea 24/7 to know that the two of them are friends, because they're not obsessed with Shea like Victor is. I know we're all support to hate Bea and how "they're literally the worst" but if I had to choose between being friends with someone who can be an asshole sometimes but at the end of the day still cares about me, or being friends with someone who tries to control and correct literally every fucking thing I do, I'd choose Bea in a HEARTBEAT.

I'm sorry is it obvious by now that I have a lot of thoughts about them
