Hey guys! I thought I’d post this since I starve you guys so often…. I know what I am, don’t worry.

I decided to use my redesign of Odd cause I really love the suit design, even if it looks a little simple! No wonder he looks so much like Adrien by accident, cause I sure have my preferences.

Ach made a wonderful job drawing Cat Noir! You should 100% give her a follow if you have instagram. It’s a pleasure to be her art moot and I would kill to do another collab with her soon.

Writing Idea/ Concepts: The Runaway Experiment

Fandom Code Lyoko

Odd wasn't who he said he was.

He never talked about his life before the age of 10; he flinched when he

saw needles, and he sometimes acted strangely.

He wasn't normal, nor did he have a normal childhood.

He doesn't know who his parents are; his earliest memories were nothing but sterile white walls and pain. He was used as a lab rat for a genetics lab. He was always in pain; none of the scientists paid him any mind when he would ask for something to help.

It wasn't until one day a man came and took him away, brought him to a big house with several girls, and a woman with dark purple hair. They treated him with kindness, but he didn't know how to respond to it.

It took a while before he knew what 'normal' was, and he was happy, in a big family with people who cared, people who didn't shove him to the ground to give him a shot, who didn't force him to run on a treadmill until he collapsed.

Things got rocky when he was told that they had to send him to a boarding school in Kadic, and they were honest with him; they believed the lab was onto them, so they had to send him away to keep hiding so he wouldn't get dragged back.

He thought school was going to be 'normal', only to get dragged into helping to save the world from an Evil Al and help a girl trapped in a virtual world. He was never questioned about the pop-up that would appear during his virtualization, stating that there was an anomaly in his DNA. Things had been fine for his first two years in Kadic, but like all good things, it must come to an end.

It started small, headaches and a stinging feeling at the base of his spine after a rough day in Lyoko, his nails seemingly growing faster and sharper, but he didn't think too much of it. It wasn't until one day he came out of the scanner in agony, his skin felt like it was burning, and teeth felt way too sensitive suddenly, but he kept up the facade that he was okay, and In the middle of the night, he woke up burning up with his head pounding, his jaw hurting more so, and skin felt like it was on fire. He bit his pillow to keep from screaming; he didn't want to wake Ulrich or alert Jim, and he kept telling himself it would pass.

It didn't.

Next thing he knows, he wakes up in one of the scanners and sees a very concerned Ulrich sitting on the middle hatch. He asked what was going on, only to feel something soft brush against his leg.

A tail that was stained in blood.

Ulrich found him in the morning, his head covered in blood, and Kiwi curled up against his stomach, trying to offer the teen comfort. With new bloody ears and a tail. They snuck Odd out of the dorm and hurried to the lab after Urich called Jeremy in a panic. Wanted to run a scan.

The results. Cat DNA.

All those years ago, they were infusing cat DNA with his, attempting to create a hybrid of sorts. XANA found this out when scouring the supercomputer, and after so many virtualizations, XANA was able to jumpstart the cat DNA... Odd had to explain why he had it...

They're horrified to learn what his life was like before the Della Robbia Family took him in, but still, that wasn't fair. Odd said he doesn't know what happened to the lab; he heard dad talk about how he reported them, but nothing else about it. The others promised to keep his secret and find a way to hide his ears and tail until they can find a way to reverse it.

Elsewhere, XANA found the lab; it had been relocated, but most of the people were still working in it, and sent them a tip about one of their little runaways and where they could find him.
