Art for “i don’t wanna feel stuck” by @rikuluvr for the @codywanreversebang, a burn notice fusion AU, featuring guns, heists, and aliens in bikinis.

You can see all the art for this fic on ao3 also. I think I do actually recommend checking it out over there, I cribbed heavily from the burn notice opening monologue to write my pitch text, and I tried to mimic the style of quick-cuts they use on the show for scene setting in this image set, and it worked out to a fun combo. (Thanks to @nottonyharrison for helping me out with the gif!)

Team #12 - Silver Lining

@tookasownsocks created the prompt and the spectacular art for @codywanreversebang and I wrote the fic that I can't wait for you all to read!

Summary:

(TW: blood and injury)

Obi-Wan and Cody have never met before, until Obi-Wan crashes into Cody while on a skiing trip. Cody's face is cut open because of the crash. Obi-Wan panics and straddles Cody while trying to assess the damage.

Cody becomes very enamored with this redhead fussing over a complete stranger, who ends up following Cody to the ER to get him stitched up.

Now going back to the ski resort, both cold and shaken from the whole ordeal, they find their way to warmth and comfort together.

Obi-wan doesn’t need to look at the knives to know how sharp they are. His gaze focuses instead on the face of the man who he is about to entrust his safety to, the one who is both his partner and opponent in this narrative they had both set on stage and in the relationship they had built outside of it.

And he doesn’t look away when Cody throws the first knife at him.

It was only logical that there was life outside of their System. As a Commander in the RAS, Cody Fett had always known he would likely be one of the first to meet that life. When his newly offered contract gave him the chance to do so, but with the stipulation of capturing all he encountered, he declined. Declined, and alongside his loyal team, sought out a way to protect whatever life they could fine. Cody just hadn't ever counted on finding life as, well, beautiful as the being he stumbled upon on a seemingly uninhabitable planet. Nor had he expected to form such a strong connection with them so quickly. That was the way of life, though. It never turns out the way you expect it to. Sometimes, it turns out even better.

Here is the beginning of my fic for @codywanreversebang! There will be a chapter a day for the rest of the week, and tomorrow shall have @ahsokatano-thetogruta gorgeous art! Later this week we will all get the amazing fic that our partner @littledumplingwrites has been working on these last months!
