Professor Burawoy lectures in the Unbounding Ethnography Conference on November 5th‬ at the University of Massachusetts Amherst reflects his longstanding commitment to mentoring new generations of social scientists. His generous participation also includes an inaugural student ethnographers' workshop ‪on Saturday, November 6th, also at UMass Amherst. Professor Burawoy is Professor of Sociology at University of California, Berkeley. A renowned figure in the social sciences, he has held honorary professorships on four continents, and served as President of both the International and American Sociological Associations.
