The fact that I know of there two instances where someone says "That's my girl" about Velma lives rent free in my head

That when there's a fake mummy there's also quick drying cement is wild enough but that Shaggy and Scooby always find it is even wilder to me

Will always love how Daphne decides to keep the mustache not the beard at the end of "Poodle Justice" and when she's clearly supposed to be over 18 in The New Scooby Doo Mysteries and the 13 Ghosts she only uses a mustache

I do not remember what poll this is in reference to but I still it's interesting

this poll got me thinking about what Sanji would feel about Scooby. Like we know Sanji is less openly affection about feeding men but he has a soft spot for animals so like ... A dog that just wants to eat all the good food

(also hilariously (to me) early Scooby is a bit of a flirt, so putting him with Sanji would be disastrously hilarious)

(like clearly Shaggy and Scooby would like Sanji on the sheer weight of his cooking alone -- quality and quantity; c'mon he has Luffy as a captain)

(also, no one can tell me that Usopp, and to lesser extent Nami and Chopper, wouldn't get along with Scooby and Shaggy)

(now thinking about an eating contest between Scooby, Shaggy and Luffy. Like Luffy would likely win just cause of sheer biology. A rubber body can just accommodate more food physiologically.)

I have seen two found family polls where the Strawhats were up against the Scooby gang and lost (about 30% to 60% each time) and I am fascinated by this

do want to give a hearty applause for the Scooby-only fans in that found family poll; really looks like you pulled off a victory there

The premise and villain reveal is actually quite clever in concept and I like it's homages to Young Frankenstein. But it's the execution that I have trouble with. Namely, how certain characters react to events and how characters are treated by the story.

More spoilery explanations below cut:

too fast scene pacing in places

sexy Velma under hypnosis to act counter to character

fat Daphne as a real tragedy she has to deal with

plot inconsistency -- shows a clip from Abracadrabra-Doo, where Velma's younger sister Madelyn is introduced, but Velma gets the castle because she's the youngest Dinkley

Velma descends from mad scientists and that's why she's so rational (this personally goes against my views of Velma's family who are usually scientists of some variety, whether that's archaeology or marine biology)
