Commander Sith is from a country with very weird technology, or rather the use of it is weird. A selfish and greedy man with a plan. Trying to not spoil too much 😅
Captain Blood was an Irish physician condemned to ten years of hard labour in the Caribbean for treating rebels who had been a part of Monmouth's Rebellion. He eventually escapes with a bunch of his fellow slaves and seizes a Spanish ship in the harbor, taking up the life of a very successful pirate.
He’d been plagued by horrible visions in his dreams. Visions of Sissel dying. Just like it happened to his mother, he feared those visions could come true. He couldn’t save his mother, how could he be able to save Sissel? Not to mention his trust on the Council had been shaken a lot, especially with Master Cabanela’s request for him to spy on Chancellor Sith, who had been his long time friend for years. Something was wrong, he could feel it.
Chancellor Sith calmly approached him, his huge eyebrow hiding his judgmental eyes. “Is there something on your mind, Yomiel?”
“It’s just... It’s the Council. I have a feeling they’re using me... Master Cabanela... I feel like he never trusted me. I know he was good friends with my Master before I was brought to the Temple but I feel like he’s using his influence to turn everyone against me, including my own Master.”
The small man smiled. Everything was going according his plan. “They fear you, Yomiel. That’s why they keep things from you. You are a powerful Jedi. They are envious of your great abilities.”
Yomiel simply let out another sad sigh, looking away.
“This is not all, is it? There’s something else bothering you, I can feel it.”
“How do you know?” Yomiel suddenly looked back at the Chancellor, an eyebrow raised in suspicion.
“Yomiel, I’ve known you since you were a boy. You’re like a son to me. You fear losing someone you love, don’t you? You can trust me.”
The blond Jedi was surprised for a brief moment before considering if he should tell the truth or not. “Y-Yes...” He blurted out.
The blue man smiled. “What if I told you... There is a way to prevent this from happening? I could help you, Yomiel.”
“How? We can’t prevent people from dying! Can we?” Yomiel was starting to feel tension rising in him. What was he talking about?
“There are only legends of course. But I heard there’s a way to prevent people from dying. You wouldn't know, it's a Sith legend. There was once a Sith Lord so powerful in the Dark Side that he learned to use the Force to create life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side that he could even keep the ones he loved from dying."
“He could really do that?” Yomiel seemed interested, but he was still a bit reluctant.
“The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.”
“And what happened to him?”
“Well, unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. And then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death... but not himself...”
Yomiel thought about it for a moment. Was it really so wrong to use the Dark Side if it meant saving someone he loved? As a Jedi, he’d always learned that the Dark Side was a path to evil and lust for power, but... if he could use to save someone... Someone he loved... It wouldn’t be wrong... Would it?
“Is it possible to learn this power?” He asked reluctantly, his blue eyes staring at the small man in front of him with a mix of worry and hope.
“Not from the Jedi.” Was the Chancellor’s cryptic response.
It’s Revenge of the 5th so have a bit of Sith (haha pun intended) trying to bring Yomiel to the Dark Side.
@fyeahghosttrick Ghost Swap shenanigans with a Treat for @kamil-a
First of all: WHY
you know what. someone's gotta step up and ask this. Sith decides to buy Rindge a fancy blue country technology car, because he just loves Rindge so much. Rindge crashes it near instantly.
And you know what, apparently someone had to step up and write this because HERE WE ARE.
I saw it in the prompts, snorted and moved on. Then looking back I saw it again and thoughts started hitting and I have 0 willpower and next thing I know I’m writing this. It came together way too easily and quickly. I’m faintly disturbed. My use of technology may be off.
Maybe it’s post-game and a post game Sith is a nicer Sith? Maybe Rindge lost his marbles?? Maybe love conquers all???
And with that I’m sliding back into my corner.
Happy Ghost Swap!
Rindge didn’t know what to expect when Sith called him, telling him to come meet him just outside of the city. When he showed up, curious, if a bit wary, he found Sith standing expectantly next to his robot servant.
“There you are and about time!” Sith exclaimed. “I have a surprise for you.”
“What is this about?” Rindge asked.
Sith waved him off. “You’ll find out shortly. Eyes closed, my good man.”
“Er… I’d really rather keep them open…”
Sith tsked. “That would quite ruin the surprise!” He snapped his fingers and his servant stepped forward.
“Guide the good detective. Rindge, my servant will keep you upright. We can’t have you running into anything after all.” He marched forward leaving Rindge staring at the towering robot.
“Come, Detective Rindge.” The robot took his arm quite gently and Rindge sighed. There really was no choice but to comply now and Sith and ‘no’ hadn’t yet met in the same room. He closed his eyes and let the robot lead him, wondering again at what he had let himself get into and how and… and yet despite himself he was curious.
Was it a long way? Or was it only that moving blindly skewed his sense of time? Rindge only knew that it felt like too long before they came to a stop and there was a presence at his side and then the unmistakeable ‘Ahem.’
“You may open your eyes now,” Sith said imperiously.
Rindge did so and blinked a couple times to readjust to the light. In front of him, gleaming in the sunlight stood a… it had to be a car, it had the shape of a car. Everything about it said car in a gleaming, sleek and very real way. It was like no car Rindge had ever seen.
“What is this?” he asked weakly.
“I should think that quite obvious, my good man. The finest of cars for a fine gentleman. Far more advanced than any of those excuses you’re used to. Go on,” he added fondly and placed a key in his hand.
Rindge approached the car and peered through the window, while Sith hovered close by. There was a wheel. That was one recognisable thing on the inside. The seats looked plush and very comfortable. Otherwise there appeared to be far too many dials and knobs.
“The core of it is not so different.” Sith then launched into an explanation of all the various features and Rindge tried to absorb it all. He gave it his best effort, but it didn’t take long at all to get lost. He picked up on the brakes and acceleration. Those were the important bits. Then Sith was urging him into the car to try it and the next thing Rindge knew he was settling into a seat that was just as comfortable as it appeared if not more so.
Rindge looked around at everything then tried one of the buttons at random. There was a whirring noise then a hole opened out of the top of the central compartment and a glass of liquid that smelled suspiciously of grapes rose up. Rindge looked out the window at Sith who still stood by.
“Your use of technology is just…”
“Plain off,” Sith finished. “Yes, yes. Now why don’t you give it a try, hmm?”
“I don’t know about this…”
“I didn’t buy it so it could sit around worthlessly. It suits you! Now experience it!”
There was no arguing with Sith and there was no arguing his curiosity to see how it ran. He moved his hands over the wheel, getting a feel for it then set his shoulders. If it worked as well as it looked he was likely in for quite a ride.
Sith stepped back as Rindge revved up the engine. It really did suit him just as he expected. The car pulled out slowly at first before zooming away leaving Sith looking after it with pride.
“Well done that man,” he said.
“Yes Sir,” the robot replied.
Before they could get too comfortable there was a squealing sound, a roar then a loud crash.
Sith jumped. “Egad man, what was that?!”
“It sounded like a crash Sir.”
“What are you standing around for, man? Take me there immediately!”
His servant picked him up and set him on his shoulder. Sith pointed in the direction Rindge drove off. “Quickly now!”
It didn’t take long for the robot’s long strides to cover the distance and they were met with the scene of the car crunched up against a wall and smoking.
The servant set Sith down and marched forward. The car door was pulled off and Rindge was pulled out and carried several feet away where he was laid on the ground. Sith crouched down next to him.
“He’s alive, but would appear stunned Sir,” the robot said calmly.
“Hmm yes, I suppose some of those safety measures were useful after all.”
Rindge opened his eyes and squinted blearily at Sith. “What… happened?”
“You crashed my good man. The car is quite totalled. We can be glad you weren’t totalled as well!”
Rindge tried to sit up but sagged back. “I’m sorry… I don’t know what happened.”
“Not to worry.” Sith patted Rindge’s cheek. “Perhaps a simpler model next time.”
