concept: bakugo is stuck at #11, just outside of the top ten hero charts (while watching izuku and todoroki constantly ascend to new heights). his agent says its because he's "unlikeable" to the general public. lucky for him, japan's new darling hero is on the rise! you, a new up-and-coming hero, are quickly working your way up the ranks. your agents convince you two to enter a fake relationship for the benefit of both of your careers.

I'm thinking about constantly on how would a group of survivors fit the narrative of my AU, and so far, I have developed some concepts.

The survivors will be humans that managed to break free of the Cryogenic Sleep. How? I haven't developed so far. But here is the thing, they will be people from the various classes within the colony.
.
I do like the idea of at least one of them being a convicted, another being from the elite, one from the poorest class and the other from the religious enviroment.
Since this AU focus majorly on the religious coding, I wanted PM's trials to be tied to this motif: Her trials are not tortures, despite being harsh. She wants those humans to atone for their "sins", their errors, their pasts.

This is a story about redemption, about change and about re-start. The survivors will have to fight their inner demons to find peace.

PM is testing them, helping them cleanse to achieve their peace. I see this as her preparing them to lead humanity.

She needs beacons of morality, of diplomacy because she knows the human nature and how destructive it can be. AM exists because of it, she froze them because of it. Peace cannot be achieved without work, without discipline... Without acceptance.
She doesn't want another World War, she doesn't want more riots. But harmony is delicate, and she knows that it wouldn't be right to keep humans under her control, she wouldn't be making them happy, because being human is making mistakes, fail and exist in sorrow and joy.

I believe PM, after seeing what the Governor of the Lunar State and the Assemblage did, how the corruption took root like a weed and let to an almost-bloodbath, had she not interveened, would assure the next humans would not repeat the same mistake.
She believes in human virtue, and wants to bring out those on her survivors, and then, only then, she will be at peace.

ATTENTION CONEPT POST!!!
I've just had an ideaaaaaa!
So, I've been watching a LOT of Steven Universe (SU) edits. SO much so that I created an OC inspired by the SU gems and Puella Magi Madoka Magica!
If you guys want to know more abt him specifically, I'll make another post but the main thing you need to know is that he can fuse with anyone except for people or beings with more than one soul, with some exceptions to the rule.
Now, the first really important thing to know before I get into what my idea actually is, is that I'm going to be talking about how my oc's fusions work with DC characters, specifically members of the Justice League!
The second really important thing to know is that my ocs fusions are limited to 5 minutes max because the people he's fusing with aren't like him species wise and only require a touch with the intent to fuse to initiate the process. Keep in mind the fusion aspect of his character is heavily inspired by SU so when he is fusing, he and his partner break down into light and reform, but to maintain the Fusion at all, they enter this mind palace kind of place that is a split between each person's mind (think of it like the concept of innate domains from jjk if you need an example to understand that part). In this "mind palace," the partners have to dance together (in sync), without stopping, to maintain the fusion without it breaking prematurely. And, just like in SU, each fusion dance is unique to the person, but in the case of my OC, he follows what ever style his partner is best versed in because they aren't of the same species and therefore, can't just try to maintain emotional equilibrium after an initial dance (again, if that was confusing just think about how SU fusion actually works).
I'm going to make another post actually going into character interaction specifics VERY VERY soon so stay tuned!
