I think that Sarek's second (third?) wife also being human is sus. It's kindda like those guys that fetishize a race. Love works in mysterious ways, of course, but he doesn't even seem that crazy in love with Perrin.

Maybe I'm just tripping and no I don't want to hear "but he's not supposed to be black" but I feel like Robert April's actor Adrian Holmes would have also made a good Philip Boyce. Something about his energy screams if Pike could just have martinis with this guy, he'd feel better.
