Tim was tired, okay? So sue him. Three weeks of chasing rumours and following dud leads, only for it to be that stupid amulet again. Tim wasn’t sure if it had its own name – only that, somehow, it had bound itself to the sorceress Ravenna’s spirit. Or, possibly, it had always been that way, and maybe Ravenna and the amulet were one and the same, like some kind of Eclipso situation. Whatever. Not Tim’s problem. Except for when it was.

So, rumours and leads. Most were red herrings, wild goose chases, or whatever other animal pun could be assigned to his predicament. Tim had been everywhere from San Francisco to New York, nada. Yellowstone had seemed promising once he realised it was Ravenna and there was a scattered paper trail pointing that way, but nope. Tim had made it to the park and was ratioed so definitively by the bison that he may have to impose a lifetime ban on himself and just… hope there wasn’t any rangers nearby.

The bison may have been a blessing in disguise, though, because once he’d discounted Yellowstone, and cleared away all the other loose threads… the answer was obvious.

The Amazon Rainforest. Of course it was the Amazon. If Tim hadn’t been so caught up in trying to actually solve the problem the logical, proper way, he would’ve guessed that easily.

So the Amazon – no sweat, it was only, like, the largest area of untouched rainforest on the planet. Easy. Several times the area of France, by-the-by. But no problemo. Tim could totally find either the possessed person or, if he was super duper lucky, this lone piece of ugly jewellery. Yippee!
