Thank you All!!--writers and spectators--for participating in this first TurtleWrimo event. I'm very proud of everyone for all their hard work! Y'all really knocked it out of the park this year. If you even threw your hat in the ring to try this year, please feel free to use the YEAR ONE badge. You're a founding member!
If you would like to participate next year, I'll be posting updates on a dedicated Turtlewrimo Blog on tumblr & a matching Turtlewrimo account on Bluesky. I'll be reblogging those updates to this blog and to my personal Bluesky, of course, but to get a broader (unfiltered) audience and keep info all in one place, the official posts will originate on Turtlewrimo accounts in 2026.
Speaking of 2026... I'm VERY interested in FEEDBACK. Reply or Reblog with your thoughts, so I can incorporate it in next year's plans.
⭐ Fic going on Ao3? Please include "turtlewrimo" in your tags so folks can find your work! ⭐
I think graphs and data are cool, so here's what I can share from our first year writing together!
TURTLEWRIMO 2025 EVENT RESULTS!!
30 Days of November 2025!
Eleven (11) folks used the group graph on TrackBear. (All identifying info removed for privacy.)
The graph is set up for "percentage" of each person's goal, since not everyone was going for 50k words. Some folks even logged their progress by "number of completed scenes." Each person's progress is one of the colored lines. Each dot on a line is a reported increase in their project progress.
In total, the reporting TurtleWrimo writers generated at least 302,706 words of TMNT Content!
On average, each person wrote 27,518 words.
The median word count was 27,413 words.
There were 80 different badge graphics generated, including the "I hit my goal!" banner.
Here's the links to all those badges under the readmore. Feel free to use them on your TurtleWrimo project updates that may continue after November is over!

Phantom joining the Justice League was mostly a publicity stunt.
"The ghosts have terrible press after GiW tried to justify its existence by releasing a bunch of purposefully riled ones in major cities," they said.
"A ghost hero would go a long way to reassure the public and garner support for amending meta protection laws," they said.
"Retiring now, just as you became recognized hero to the wider world, just because you dealt with all the problems in your little town, would look selfish and could be used to discredit you as a representation of your species," they said.
"Plenty of heroes pursue higher education and careers while being active in the field full-time. We have support programs for this exact purpose," they said.
It's been six years. No political progress has been made, now that Realms ghosts are out of news cycle. Nowadays, Danny is mostly a heavy hitter on the roster dealing with regular JL threats. Even when Dark asks for consult, it's demons or fae, almost never a ghost. He scrapped together an undergraduate degree before hero work got too much. He has a moderate media presence and even a fanbase, but his high approval is mostly due to people seeing him as another meta, not an actual ghost.
On these rare occasions when he has time to really think about it, Danny can't help but feel that he's been scammed.

(Now I’m starting to wonder if we will actually break the counter in 24 hours lol.)
