I feel like eyebrows soaring through the sky when I’m with Corner.. ~Cleo
Chapter 5: Snooze Fest... Seriously, just don't even read this.
The car stopped at a red light, making Joseph angrily smack his head on the steering wheel in impatience, ending in a loud ‘honk’ and what sounded like a wooden spoon hitting against an empty bucket (which could only have resulted from Joseph’s head, Cleo concluded). This was Cleo’s time to shine… Well, more like time to stink up the place. She kicked off her shoes before the clown men on either side of her could react, then stretching her legs in incredibly painful ways, smacked their faces with her feet, making them pass out instantly. The clown man in the passenger seat looked in the rearview mirror so as to see what the commotion was about, and was instantly scarred by Cleo’s odd position between the two other clowns, instantly passing out at the horrendous view. “What was that noise? And what was that horrific smell?” Joseph pinched his nose, looking to the clown man beside him for support, who was knocked out with his head smooshed against the window. “What the?!” Joseph immediately spun around, the door wide open and Cleo attempting to run the other way, swerving past other cars stopped at the light. Joseph peaked his head out of the window, yelling at Cleo, “Come back here, you…you…!” The light turned green, and the cars lined up behind the clown mobile began to honk in annoyance. “Darn tourists,” Joseph sighed and continued forth, making an illegal U-turn in an attempt to catch Cleo once again (who hadn’t gotten very far anyways due to purple toe fungus she must have caught from one of the clown men’s face, causing her to stride with a limp). The cars continued to honk at Joseph as he turned, due to his causing some cars going the same way to step on their breaks. He slowed the car down, opened the door, and did a roll out of the passenger seat in an attempt to capture Cleo who was currently attempting to steal the shoes off of a helpless hobo rested on the sidewalk, for she had forgotten to bring her shoes with her. “Hand over the shoes, gramps! Do it for the people!” Cleo tugged on one of the boots, making the poor man tilt over his seat on the curb. “Get off of me, hippie, before I pour my special gravy on you!” “Get away from the poor, old man,” Joseph grinned, walking towards the two. Cleo rolled her eyes, “yea yea… Whatever, ginger. Can’t you see I’m busy?” “Nice try,” Joseph went to grab Cleo, who spasmed away from him. “You lay one finger on me..” Cleo bit at the air with her sharp fangs, then continued to rip the boots of the hobo, now using her teeth as aid. The hobo squirmed away from Cleo, running away yelling, “A clown freak and his pet rat are attacking me! Help! Help!” Cleo turned to Joseph angrily. “Oh leave me alone, you heart breaker!” She threw her hands up in the air in annoyance. “Make this a whole lot easier on yourself and just come with me,” Joseph announced, closing in on Cleo. “Don’t make me do this…” Cleo pointed to her feet. “Hah, that won’t affect me! I have nasal problems!” Joseph exclaimed victoriously, before grabbing Cleo once again and dragging her to the clown mobile that had crashed into a building (after Joseph had made a cool exit from the vehicle). The clown men were still out cold. Joseph threw Cleo into the trunk and sped onward to Fairy Godmother HQ, Cleo assumed. Cleo could hear the carrot top singing along to “Baby’ by Justin Bieber. This was going to be a long ride
