bad news, guys
Woke up this morning and checked on my fish tanks, as I usually do. Was startled to find that Jason, my adolescent peppered cory, has these transparent bubbles/blisters on his fins and body, and his eyes are bulging.
The best thing I can find online is that it’s protein bubbles/blisters, which is when the fish has too much protein in its diet and its body starts making external fat deposits.
I’m gonna stop feeding him for a few days and only feed the tetras a tiny amount so that none of the flakes will drift down to the bottom for him to nibble on. Hopefully he might improve in the next few days, but if not, I’ll have to consider euthanasia, because I don’t want him suffering or infecting the other fish if it’s a different underlying issue.
