Wreckers Of Civilization Today, we lost one of underground music/art/philosophys brightest and strangest lights. Genesis Bryer P-orridge was a force for critical thought, for boundary pushing, for breaking down barriers, for sheer sonic excess. Their existence was a burr under the saddle of the status quo for decades. It could likely be argued thee future were living in couldn't exist without Gen. I'm going to be deep-diving into the history of Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Coum Transmissions in the weeks to follow, in addition to some other on-going projects. Am also dreaming up a dessicant project inspired by their life and legacy. Rest in Power, Genesis. We love you. . #genesisporridge #genesisbryerporridge #throbbinggristle #industrial #industrialmusic #industrialmusicforindustrialpeople #industrialrecords #experimentalmusic #psychictv #coumtransmissions #rip #restinpower #postpunk #postpunkmusicians #industrialmusicians #coseyfannitutti #chriscarter #peterchristopherson #1976 #wreckersofcivilization #undergroundart #mailart #kosmische #march14 #march142020 #jsimpson #hero #inspiration (at Manchester, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9vG3uuBBjq/?igshid=1j6b646xkuovh

[CTI] [Core] [CD] [1988] "CTI" is a side project of the industrial icons "Chris and Cosey". For their album "Core" they could win illustrious musicians like Robert Wyatt(!), Monte Cazazza, Lustmord(Brian William), John Duncan, John Balance and Peter Christopherson(Coil) as well as Boyd Rice and Joe Potts. . The result is an industrial album of the finest quality! Industrial in its purest form with all its wonderful facets like Ambient, Electro Pop, Dark Ambient, experimental music... . Let yourself fall into the dark and fantastic sound structures and experience an extraordinary, fascinating and captivating adventure.
[Chris and Cosey] [Trance] [LP] [1982] The second album by Chris & Cosey sounds much more like Throbbing Gristle than the debut album. While Chris & Cosey consciously distanced themselves from their roots on their first album, they now seem to be a little more committed to them again. However, not to the very hard, but to the rather moderate side of the industrial music pioneers. "Trance" is not a trance music album, but it contains many elements that were later adopted by the trance music scene. . Chris & Cosey are very playful with different styles. Already on the opener "Cowboys in Cuba" they cleverly mix dark industrial sounds with avant-garde electro pop, a very hypnotic mixture. The rhythmic "Lost" sounds anything but lost. The Giant's Feet" begins darkly, but quickly picks up speed with a pulsating beat that is guaranteed to leave no one cold. . And so it goes on with the other tracks, sometimes playful ("Until"), sometimes chaotic rhythmic pulsating ("Re-Education through Labour") or mysterious ("Secret") up to the ambient music on the last track "The Gates of Ancient Cities" on the album. . Chris & Cosey have created a masterpiece with "Trance" that was far ahead of its time and still fascinates after 40 years.
