Two years ago today, I took @pineapple.yogi out for a sunset 10K up Castle Hill and told her I’m in it for the long run. I took her through the back streets of Nice and she wasn’t too happy about it (see photo 2). Race is done! New fastest mile of 10:41 and new 5K record of 34:43!! Couldn't have done it without @jeffrunsaz Half way through the race he decided to fall back and run with me and did a great job of pacing. 💞 Last night he asked me what my goal was. My love an I after picking up our bibs for her first race ever. I am so proud of her! She owned that 15k and she finished four minutes ahead of me. Now we are registered for my second full marathon and her first half marathon in Anchorage, Alaska in June. So until training officially begins, I will be increasing my mileage. Here is to a happy life full of love and running. I am so glad to be back.

Run On

It has been incredible watching the excitement in my loves eyes as she increases her runs. Last week we ran five miles and that is the longest she has ever run ever.

This weekend we are scheduled to do 6 or 7 miles. She said she would be happy with 3, but she is shooting for 6.

We have our 15k in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to experience the race with her.

I am aiming for my second full marathon in June in Alaska. It will be a month after our move and I think it’s the perfect goal to work towards.

If only we could stop spending money on running clothes and focus on our savings. ;)

To my husband: Thank you for being my running buddy! I'm so lucky to have such a supportive partner as both my personal cheerleader and favorite teammate, all wrapped up in one. You've always been my inspiration and motivation to push myself both physically and mentally, not only in my running shoes, but in everything I do. From 5k, to 10k, to half marathon, and now for the big one! I couldn't imagine being as excited to run 26.2 miles with anyone else! ❤️
