If the manga is loosely following Mother 3's story plot, is our Ciel going to use Undertaker's mourning locket chain against Real Ciel, in some fashion soon?

Not *terribly* soon, but it’s one of my major “mother3 predictions” if you search my blog for that. Or if you search for things like “courage badge”, “franklin badge”, or “locket”.

I do think it will help our earl in some way against either real Ciel or Undertaker, I’m just not sure how. Though I do propose a few possible scenarios.

Did this make anyone else think of the Courage Badge from EarthBound/Mother 2, which is kind of notorious for finding its way through Mother 2 and Mother 3 and be passed down from generations?

So part of my birthday gift was me being able to order the hardback version of the Mother 3 handbook that comes with the Courage Badge. In the comments of the order, I wrote a haiku.

By god, I wish Nintendo would bring Mother 3 to America.  This guide seems exceedingly worth it.

Nintendo, you are exceedingly guilty of denying your American fans the pleasure that is Mother 3.  You will correct this mistake, or face the wrath of the internet legal system!
