There's a great sense of freedom when you admit a truth to yourself; whether it's during self-reflection, therapy or life coaching. I feel very privileged when that happens to a client as a result of our session. Once that truth is spoken, it is owned and it can be dealt with. I've come through that process myself and it is liberating. One thing's for sure, it takes courage to admit fears and beliefs to ourselves because, once we do that, we're out of our comfort zone. Life changes for the better but it takes time to adjust. Only you know when you're ready. Unabated passionate love...

I had the privilege of falling into a deep, passionate unabated love. I say privilege because I had an experience that only a few can actually relate to. One thing about falling into a deep passionate unabated love is that I didn’t get to choose it. You cant get online and order it up.. although we do try; Match.com, Cupid.com. Unfortunately, I didn't get to choose when it ended either. Sometimes it happens for a reason. Sometimes it happens for a season. And I suppose, sometimes it happens for a lifetime. 

But there is another kind of love. A deep and meaningful love. This type of love that you can choose, build and create. Although you can’t order this up on the internet, you can use the internet to make meet people who have similar interests, values and goals in life. And within these introductions you can align your activities and your life to increase your chance of creating something that is mutually meaningful and loving. 

The deep, passionate unabated love is intoxicating and as I was consumed by it for many years I felt to be at its mercy as it transformed who I was in unexpected and unbelievable ways. As this was my experience I believe that this is why it exists. It shows up in our life to change our life. To send us down a different path. To prepare us for something, or maybe someone. Or all of the above. 

These relationships arn't meant to last. Everything has it cycle in life. Everything changes. You and I are no exception. The love may remain the same, but as it changes us, we have no choice but to make different choices. This is what change is. What change does. And why we need it.

But than again.. can we fall into a deep, passionate unabated love and change together? Can we both transform, together, and stay together? Do you want to try?
