Aptrill Day 30: Burchell’s courser.

Zion was named so by humans seeing it through a telescope and by using spectroscopical analysis realizing it had an atmosphere identical to that of Earth. 'Zion' in this context means 'paradise.' The people of Zion, Coursers, call it Sha'u. Humans can visit and breathe there without issue, but longterm stay isn't recommended – cancer, lack of proper nutrition, isolation…

Ku does not feature in the story whatsoever, except in the backstory of the Rex characters and the dreams of those who have talked to them (Rex thoughts are prone to cross-contamination). Humans could be there with smaller issues but not for very long because of the gravity and the exotic atmosphere. But the vacation photos would be worth it.

dude, have you been to the wasteland?

no one is secretly gay here. those bombs back then didn't just blow up the land, they destroyed all restrictions of who can with who and how and why whenever and so forth

I guess the companions collective reaction would be *shrug emoji*

also, X6's queer energy is definitley off the charts (wouldn't mind if he'd be gay for a certain Railroad agent, truth to be told)

After an unintentional lengthy break from the sims I am back at it. For how long I don’t know. I still have my 2 year old save going on but I decided to make a new save to create and play with some sims based on what is my current fixation - Fallout 4. More precise the coursers. I made Z2-47, X9-27, and Chase. X6-88 was later added into the house by moving him from another household that I happened to download from the gallery.

Part two of Fo4 companions react to learning a female Sole was a former courser

Here is the finally part of the request, thanks again for sending it in and I hope y’all enjoy reading!

X6-88: He knew Sole was a former courser and had been sent specifically to hunt Sole down and bring her back so the Institute could reprogram her into compliance, she was actually the first case of a courser going rouge and no one knew how it really happened. He also knew that the Railroad agency had been helping her hide but it was hard because they had only helped synths before not coursers so it made it three times as difficult to keep anyone from tracking her. When X-6 finally located her it was damn near in the middle of nowhere and the last place anyone would suspect to look and she was prepared to face him and he knew she would be one hell of a fight but he was just as ready. Their cat and mouse game went on for hours neither of them getting tired or slowing down before Sole accidentally slipped up and X-6 pinned her down, and she thrashed and screamed begging him not to take her back. He admired how hard they had thought, but he had his orders and he quickly transported them both back to the Institute where Sole was taken back to be wiped clean and re-programmed, the game was finally over.

Nick: He knew Sole was a courser before she even said anything, he had seen plenty before and he recognized that brutally but precise style of fighting as the way only one of them could fight out here in the Commonwealth. To others she did a good job of hiding away what she really was, but to those who knew the brutality of the Institute first hand there was no shying away from it. At first he didn’t really trust Sole and figured they where some kind of double agent, overtime though he realized Sole was trying to leave their past behind and live a good and better life free from the controlling grip of her original creators.Sole was internally grateful to Nick for shielding her from those who would seek to destroy her or use them for personally gain, sure she was one of the toughest things out here but it still scared her and sometimes gave her nightmares that one day another courser would drag her back to the Institute and wipe her memory once again making her a tool for their usage. Nick promised that as long as he was still standing he wouldn’t let that happen to her at least not without a fight. Their were even times when Sole felt like maybe she had known Nick at one point after all she had been with the Institute for decades before fleeing, it wasn’t impossible that she had seen the creation and destruction of him at point, either way she was glad he was here with her now.  

Cait: She had never come across a courser before, she had only heard of them so when she fell in with Sole she just assumed they were as badass as her and had grown up all their life kicking ass and fighting their way through Hell. When Sole had first strolled into the combat zone it was like seeing another version of Cait in action except this version was more clean and accurate in everything they did. Together they were a team that was unstoppable cutting down anyone in their way, but one day another courser came along specifically looking for Sole and spilling her secret to Cait. The courser did this with hopes that Cait would turn on Sole aiding him in killing her, but it backfired when Cait told him to go fuck himself and that Sole was her friend no matter what. Once the both of them took the courser down Cait was quick to call Sole a jackass for not telling her sooner and she had thought they trusted each other at this point, Sole was sorry for hiding it but she had been scared that Cait would leave her if she knew, Cait rolled her eyes and told Sole from now on no more secrets between them

Hancock: Sole knew how Hancock felt about the Institute and what they did and she was afraid to even mention she had been a former courser they had become so close and he made her feel alive in ways she never even knew where possible, she didn’t want to lose what she had even though she felt horrible for lying. As time went on though it just made her feel worse keeping such a big secret especially when he was always so open and honest with her, he bared his very soul to her, she knew she couldn’t hide forever. She waited till he was actually coherent enough and sober so their weren’t any misunderstandings between them, once she actually sat him down and told her about who she really use to be he got quiet and she became nervous. He took her hands into his and told her he could never hate her for a past that was never fully under her control, that she had more than proven what kind of person she truly was, someone who was loving and caring and put others before herself, but he was sorry she had been to scared to tell him the truth that was never his intention. Sole took him into a tight embrace beside herself with relief that Hancock accepted her for her past and for the person she was now.  

MacCready: His world had always revolved around making caps and his son so he never had a strong opinion about synths or coursers other then he would never want to get into a fight with one alone. He never suspected he would be best friends with one though, not that he knew that right off the bat, him and Sole came across each other accidentally and Sole needed help and at first it was about the caps she pushed into Mac’s hands but after awhile he grew to really like her and couldn’t think of anyone else he would rather travel with. After she helped him retrieve the cure for his son she knew it was time to tell him the truth, she figured that at least if things turned sour he wouldn't outright kill her, not after everything she had done for him over the past year. Sole was anxious as Hell when she finally spit out her secret and held her breath as she looked at Mac’s emotionless face as he processed what he just heard, he admitted that Sole seemed a little different, from the way they acted down to the way she would fight but he couldn’t believe they had actually been in the Institute for so long and managed to escape and avoid them. Courser, synth, robot, alien he didn’t care because Sole was the one person he could depend on in this world, the only one he had besides his son since Lucy was killed, they had stayed with him when it mattered most when he thought he was alone and that’s all he cared about.

Piper: The reporter had always been paranoid of the boogeyman of the Commonwealth, the Institute was something she had been taught to fear from a young age and the horrors it produced she had witnessed first hand, people being replaced with synths, coursers striking fear into whole towns and killing innocents without mercy. Of course she knew not all synths were bad and there was Nick who was always her closest friend and she was quick to step in if anyone gave him any bullshit, so Sole only told her she was a synth at first but left out the details of being a former courser because she knew how feared they were. It wasn’t until they had become close friends that Piper suspected there was something about Sole that they weren't telling her and of course being who she was she was dying to find out what this secret of Sole’s was. It took a long time to get it out of her but eventually Sole caved in to Piper’s constant questioning and sat Piper down and told her about being a former courser, which of course blew Piper’s mind, she couldn't believe she had one of the Institutes most powerful assets just chilling out in Diamond city in her office, let alone having someone like Sole as a close friend. Piper still loved Sole as a friend and saw her as a force of good that could be used to play the Institute at their own game, something Sole was more than happy to comply with.
