It was quiet in the tower, just a little bit too quiet. Like the quiet before a big storm, it was a little unsettling for Tony. He was so used to the chaos around the tower, that it was rather worrying with how quiet it was right now.
Peter was at home with aunt Mey so Tony knew it wasn’t him planning something.
Steve had taken Bucky and Sam out for a day out, so no bickering from Bucky and Sam to keep up the volume.
Wanda was still asleep, Tony knew that, so next one on the list was Y/N. He was going to figure out what she was up to.
Y/N however was still happily snuggled up in Loki’s arms. The two of them warm in the bed, covered by the warm blanket and pillows. Just enjoying the peace and quiet that was surrounding them. Loki placed gentle kisses on Y/N’s head every now and then as she lay on his chest. His hand rubbed soothing circles on her back, while she drew stars on his chest.
“I like the quiet for once, it’s nice to not have a constant stream of noise around the tower.” Loki said, his voice only loud enough for Y/N to hear. He was rather glad he didn’t have to cancel out the extra noise from the tower with his magic. Even though the walls are sound proved by Tony the noise sometimes still made it through. So this was a very nice break for him and a nice moment for the two of them.
“Mhm, it is nice. Tony probably thinks someone is planning something chaotic right about now.” Y/N replied with a small smile on her face. She knew Tony had trouble with silence. “We could start some chaos.” Loki said in return. Y/N could tell Loki was smirking a little bit as he said that. But this morning wasn’t the morning for chaos. “Maybe next time, I like to stay in bed for now.” Y/N lifted her head up from Loki’s chest to look at him. “Party pooper.”
“Yeah yeah I am the party pooper here.” Y/N answered sarcastically. Giving Loki a look. He knew that look all too well and smiled. Moving forward to give Y/N a kiss, just a small peck on her lips, knowing full well this was never enough for her. And it wasn’t enough for Y/N, so a kiss attack followed. Y/N peppered Loki’s face with kisses before giving him a deep kiss on his lips.
Loki laughed once they pulled apart. “Knew you would do that.” He teased to which Y/N pouthed a little. Then there was a knock on their door, making the both of them sigh. “Yes?” Loki called out. “Can I come in?” Tony answered from behind the door, totally not worried the two of them were indecent. “Yes, you can come in, Tony.” Y/N replied as she slowly sat up in bed. The door opened and Tony stepped inside the room.
“Morning… so uhm… is a little quiet around here. You're not planning anything, right?” Tony started, not beating around the bush. “Not that I think you would do anything, but you know, just checking.”
Loki laughed a little and shook his head. “No Tony, we are not planning anything. Not today.” He answered. Y/N nodded her head in agreement. “Really Tony, you can relax.” She added. “You sure?” Tony asked, it was clear he was anxious about the silence. “Very sure.” Y/N reassured Tony. “Maybe you can go and spend time with Pepper now that the most of us are doing our own things.”
Tony nodded. “Yes, you are right, just let me know if anything does go wrong.”
“Will do, Tony, just go and enjoy your time with Pepper.” Loki answered as Tony left just as quickly as he came. Getting ready to see Pepper and maybe have some peace of his own.
Y/N sighed and turned to face Loki. “I guess it's just the two of us now.” Loki smiled at her words and moved her so she was now sitting in his lap. “I wouldn't have it any other way. Just you and me and some peace and quiet.”
Y/N giggled before gently kissing Loki’s cheek. “lazy day!”
“Yes, Love a lazy day. Now come on let's go back to snuggling.” And that they did for the rest of the day. Just snuggling in bed and watching tv.
