It’s kinda annoying that everyone—including the other members of the Mighty Nein—focused so heavily on Astrid/Caleb, when literally every scene with Eodwulf is just this big jock stumbling over his attraction to his tall handsome smart ex-boyfriend. Like, literally, every time they were in the same room, Eodwulf had to comment on how good Caleb was looking.

He really did look at this gangly nerd excited about astronomy and blowing things up and went “Goddess, I can’t not fuck him!”

Eadwulf still followed Caduceus with hangdog eyes, so obvious that even Fjord picked up on it. Jester watched Eadwulf forlornly stare after Caduceus’s retreating form while helping rebuild a smaller storage shed that had burnt down in the fight. Fjord was helping him, holding up a piece of wood and snapping his fingers to pull Eadwulf out of it. They made faces at each other, and then Wulf’s sharp gaze transferred to watch Fjord instead.

“That one is...how do you say it? Hungry?” Essek commented from behind her, where he’d been gardening.

“Oh so close, Essek, it’s THIRSTY,” Jester corrected joyfully. “You’re starting to talk like one of us, too!”

I really like Astrid and Eodwulf and I think it would be the funniest thing on Earth if the M9 brought them to Aeor, specifically because Essek (who I love) is worried that

1) he might be accused of working with the Empire/Cerberus Assembly.

2) Empire Assassins will come to kill him.

and Astrid and Eodwulf are

1) Part of the Empire/Cerberus Assembly.

2) Empire Assassins who could totally kill him.

I'm sad that we haven't seen more of Eodwulf ... it makes sense that the M9 are communicating with Astrid since she's the one best suited for spy stuff and Eodwulf seems a lot more straight forward, but I liked the interactions we saw with him at the Dinner Party

And I want to see the dynamic between him, Astrid and Caleb, because the interaction between Caleb and Astrid has been so good but they were a polycule with Eodwulf and we're obviously missing a big piece of the puzzle

Also I want more of grim dark Eodwulf, assassin and RQ follower, trying to understand gentle pastel Caduceus, Grave Cleric and WM follower

i love how this episode was gonna be scary because icky-thot but now the whole fandom is united with one single braincell that screams “cadwulf!” you gotta love critters
