I haven’t been able to bind in over a month, due to shoulder surgery. Sitting at a computer and using a mouse are difficult so even typesetting isn’t an option right now. But dammit, I need to make things. So here are a couple of binding-adjacent projects I’ve done in the past few weeks.
This one was probably ill-advised as cutting book board is really something I should not be doing. Shh don’t tell my doctor. But I needed to make a tiny bookcase for some of my tiny Funko pops [from a long-ago advent calendar] so…
Making tiny bookcases is fun.
For my second project, I decided I wanted to make something to hand out to trick or treaters as an alternative to candy. I ordered a bunch of mini packs of crayons and made little Halloween themed coloring books that I bound as pamphlets. (No AI art was used in this.)
I’m hopeful I’ll be able to bind again soon. Maybe in the next month or so. Hopefully I’ll have something more exciting to share before too long!
Aside from not being able to pull my hair back, this is probably the most difficult part of recovery. Not being able to create.
