Here’s another fantasy creature I thought of cause I’m bored and wanna share them with someone (you 😊):

Treasure Hoard Crabs:

Treasure Hoard Crabs, also known as hoarding crabs, are large crustaceans in the same family as their smaller and more delicious cousins. Treasure hoard crabs never technically stop growing, however most cap out at about 11 feet tall before they can no longer molt out of their hard shells due to exhaustion.

Treasure hoard crabs have an instinctive need to cover themselves in the shiniest objects they can find, they do this to show hierarchy and to flaunt their hoards in hopes of breeding with the other most shiny female.

These crabs will form small to midsized “Kingdoms” of about 23 individuals; the majority being females or “Maidens”, one “King” Crab, and a couple of male “Knights” for the King Crab to give orders to.

Only the King may mate with the females, so Knights will sometimes challenge the King for the right to breed or they’ll sneakily breed a maiden while the King rests. Both of these options can lead to death however.

Much like all crustaceans, treasure hoard crabs have claws, big powerful claws that can snap a horse in twixt. These crabs will clash their heavy metal claws against one another until one has perished, robbing the other of their hoard once dead and adding it to their own.

Extra Facts:

-The maidens can lay up to 11,000 eggs each. This is due to the fact that once they hatch, they’ll instantly be cannibalized by their parents and the other crabs in the Kingdom if they don’t escape out into the wild.

-These crabs will sometimes be “domesticated” by greater dragons to guard THEIR treasure hoards because a dragon is the only creature that could scare a Treasure Hoard Crab away from treasure, though they are given a small amount of payment by the dragon.

-The largest one ever recorded was a whopping 34 feet tall and weighed over 18 tons.

-They’re omnivores and will eat whatever they can get.

-Humans attempting to fight a hoarder crab are recommended to have a blunt weapon, like a war hammer, if they wish to take the crab’s hoard.

-They taste…bad. The mucus they use to stick the treasure to their shell permeates from their muscles and it tastes bitter and foul. Some chefs are able to use it and make it taste good…but the main reason people hunt these things is for their treasure.

Dino, you gotta pen yourself a bestiary because all of these are so magnificently detailed!

We always hear about kingdoms housing massive hoards of treasure, but in this case the kingdom IS a treasure. One of the crustaceans sorts!

Probably hard to tell where the riches end and the exoskeleton of a crab begins.

Wonder if in some (desperate) cases, you can use hoard crabs AS a weapon. Imagine getting bludgeoned by a giant shiny crab, that's something you'd never live down.

Creechurs with the same vibes

these are two of my favorite looking animals ever. the bird creechur is the Potoo and the snake creechur is the Arabian Sand Boa

The potoo is a bird with possibly the most mouth to head ratio ive ever seen with massive derpy eyes. Every picture of these creechurs is either derpy or slightly unsettling.

The arabian sand boa is probably my favorite snake of all snakes and snake like things. Just look at him. He looks like a sock puppet. and like a child poorly drew a snake and it became real. I cant describe how much i live this stupid little thing. He looks so incredibly derp and there is NO picture i can find on google that looks even SLIGHTLY intimidating. he's so pathetic andndumb looking i love him.
