Maybe Steve trying to get his s/o to watch a romance movie w him on valentines day but they end up watching tmnt (or some old cartoon) because his s/o hates romance movies for some reason

"You like romance movies?" You question taking the tickets from him. Steve said he had a special surprise for you but you weren't expecting a romantic movie night, at least not from him. Although it was Valentine's Day which meant it was the month of love. So most of the movies out were Romance themed.

Steve chuckles nervously in response as you make your way down the street. You were still a couple blocks from Arcadias theater but you had time. Making a fingergun at you with one hand he messes with his hair with the other. Amused you look down at the tickeyt, reading the title of the movie he picked. Sticking your tongue out annoyed Steve looks insulted.

"What? I can't treat my partner to a night out?" He questions reaching for the tickets as he sees you gag. Smiling mischeviously you back up still holding the tickets tightly.

"Depends." You tease. "Never took you for the type to like something named Our love is a Star or whatever garbage title they came up with." You admit honestly.

Steve grunts and snags the ticket from you. Smiling at him he glares making you laugh.

"I'm more than a football jock ya know." He states crossing his arms.

"Oh I know." Hugging him he grumpily hugs you back as your hands begin to play with his hair.

"Yeah?" He huffs. "Prove it." Chuckling you think of all his good qualities.

"Well Steve Palchuck." You begin as you stare into his blue eyes. "You're assertive. People listen to you. You're also brave. Stupidly so. And compassionate even if you don't like showing that part of yourself. You're also very very strong." Still fiddling with his hair as you try and think of more things you like about him, he leans into your touch and hums. Putting your head to his he keeps you close. "But sometimes Steve you are thick as a brick. That being said I hate romance movies." You add with a smirk as you pull away.

"Oh come on. I thought you'd like it." He whines.

"Nah your thinking of Aja. Or Eli. I'm like Krel. I despise them. I don't like watching two fools fall in love. Love doesn't work that way." You shrug as you begin walking again.

"Oh yeah and how does love work than love expert?" He questions following you towards the movie theater.

"Love works when two people make it work. Just like how we make it work. Sometimes you butt heads and you argue. But you love each other and you care about each other. Besides in the movies relationships are always so easy, or their overdramatic and complicated in ways real relationships aren't. Real relationships just don't work like that, they're real. And because they're real their hard." Steve blinks before he nods.

"You really are a love expert." He states awwed.

Laughing before you let out a shiver from the cold Steve smiles. He slips off his letterman jacket placing it over your shoulders.

"Thanks." You state and he smiles pulling you close.

"See love can be like the movies." He teases. Rolling your eyes you bump his shoulder.

"Oh my god. We're exchanging the tickets when we get there." You threaten and Steve makes puppy dog eyes.

"Nuuuuuuuu." He whines but you stand firm. As far as you were concerned Steve was all the romance you needed. You didn't want to watch some movie telling you how to look or act to get a boy, you had Steve and that was more than enough for you.

Steve: I don’t really think about this sort’ve thing? But I suppose red? Its one of the nicer colours. Doesn’t really suit me tho.

Eli: Huh. Figured it would be blue. 

Steve: Im not that predictable Pepperjack.

Eli: Mines green, Obviously. All the best things are green, Aliens, radioactive fluid, acid, emeralds. Cool things.
