So in Cresce, you have a ton of soldiers and pedestrians with (twins-inspired?) four-letter names and surnames, while the Queen has The Longest Name In The World, with characters like Rilursa strangely in-between. Can you please explain Crescian naming conventions?
Four-lettered names are considered lucky, and longer names unlucky. This superstition comes from an ancient story about Crescia, the first Queen of Cresce. A long war had just ended and the new country was in famine. Rather than have all her people starve or only the rich or powerful take food for themselves, Crescia declared that rations would be halved for everyone except soldiers and those with four letters in their name (alluding to the four twin gods, yes). It was as arbitrary a way to pick survivors as any other. It also meant that two of her three children starved to death. Seeing their Queen suffer alongside them made Crescia beloved of her people.
Ever since then, most parents have superstitiously opted for lucky four letter names. Longer names aren’t forbidden or anything, but they are a little rare. People will give you dirty looks if you saddle your kid with an unlucky name, right?
By that same token, the royal family - currently the Sonories - giving their kids four letter names would look inappropriate. If famine or disease or some other misfortune were to strike Cresce the royals should at least put on the appearance of being ready to sacrifice for their people.

A Poswick is a ghost-like being living in swamps, forests, and abandoned structures. They're an emotive bunch, often seen playing tricks and harassing other living things, sometimes even possessing their body for a while. This particular one seems nice though...
A Fairy, an endangered race due to their wish-granting powers that kill them in the process of casting it. Hunted down for decades, they're rumored to be extinct, or possibly hiding.
