✧ Comfort Characters x Reader — Intervention✧
Fluff | Humor | Validation | Dreamscape | Multi Fandom | Sometimes comfort comes from fictional people too. And that’s okay.
The dream starts strangely quiet.
No dramatic battlefield. No glowing skies. No cinematic music.
You enter your room. But somehow, slightly different from the one you feel asleep in.
Bigger. Softer. Like memory wrapped in fog.
The merch you own covers the walls. Manga stacked in your library corner. Keychains hanging, swaying gently like little protection charms around your desk. Different tabs of fanfiction open on your laptop. Writing them and reading them.
And lounging in the room?
Them.
An entire council of fictional men looking deeply concerned about your sleep schedule.
They're not wrong.
Aki Hayakawa leaning against the side of your desk, arms crossed lightly.
Kakashi Hatake is reading one of your drafts on the computer.
Umemiya Hajime looks emotionally stressed for you and for the lack of plants in your room.
Satoru Gojo is touching things he absolutely should not touch.
Suguru Geto is sitting, back straight at the edge of your bed like this is a serious responsibility.
Choso looks worried in the gentlest way possible. Mouth tugging downward slightly.
Toji Fushiguro is sitting backwards in your chair like he owns space in your brain. which he does.
Sukuna leans against the wall in the back of the room, like he's been dragged here against his will.
Keigo Takami is perched on your windowsill, kicking his feet, waiting for things to unfold.
Roronoa Zoro somehow got lost inside the dream itself.
Vinsmoke Sanji hands you a cup of tea, perfect temperature, exactly how you like it.
Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa look like exhausted parents preparing for emotional damage control.
Xylo and Enjin lay on your bed along with your plushies. Enjin's hands are behind his head while Xylo's rest on his chest.
You blink slowly.
"...The fuck is going on?"
"We're worried about you," Choso says immediately, holding your hand softly in his.
"You spend a lot of time with us," Aki adds carefully, barely looking at you.
Gojo points at your laptop. "You wrote 18k words in one sitting!"
"That's impressive actually." Kakashi mutters, still reading your work.
"Focus," Geto sighs.
Umemiya guides you to sit down in the middle of the room. Expression soft. "You've gotta remember to live your own life too, y'know?"
You stare at all of them.
"...Are my fictional comfort characters staging an intervention?"
"Yes," Nanami's voice says from somewhere unseen.
"HE'S NOT EVEN HERE," Gojo yells.
"Can't you take anything seriously, Gojo?" he replies.
Sanji takes the empty cup of tea from your hands. "We simply wish for our princess to experience happiness outside of us."
Zoro snorts entering the room. "You souns ridiculous."
"You shut up, mosshead."
"Children," Kazuki sighs tiredly while Rei is sitting, playing a game on his phone.
You look around again, overwhelmed by their presence.
"I do live real life."
Keigo tilts his head gently. "Yeah, but sometimes you hide in us when things get hard."
That one lands harder, making you frown slightly.
The room softens around the edges.
Aki crouches beside you, finally looking at you. Calm blue eyes steady on yours. "It's okay to love stories. They help."
Kakashi finally looks up from the computer in your direction. "But they shouldn't become the only place you rest."
You look down at your hands. Your shoulders slouching.
"...What if real life is exhausting?"
"Then rest," Choso says without hesitation.
"With real people too," Umemiya adds softly.
"And with yourself," Rei says.
There's a pause.
Then Sukuna scoffs loudly, bringing the whole room's attention to him. Everyone turns.
"Oh, dude," Gojo mutters.
Sukuna looks genuinely offended by the entire intervention.
"She doesn't need to stop anything she wants to do."
Geto pinches the bridge of his nose. "That's not what we're saying."
"You're all acting like comfort is a crime," Sukuna continues, glaring at them.
"Been sentenced for a lot more..." Xylo mutters from your bed, eyes closed. You snort at that before Sukuna pulls your attention back to him again.
"The world is exhausting. People are stupid. Let her enjoy what makes her happy."
You point at him immediately, smiling. "THANK YOU!"
"Toji," Aki says carefully, "a little help here."
Toji looks up, eyes lazy from your chair. "...Nah. He's got a point."
"Deadbeat," Geto mutters.
"She writes because she loves it. US! Where's the harm?" Enjin says simply.
"...That was weirdly deep," Keigo says, tilting his head in Enjin's direction.
Choso nods slowly now too. "She creates things because of us."
"And she smiles when she talks about stories," Umemiya adds.
Kakashi points at the screen of your computer. "Also this slow burn is excellent."
You gasp. "You think so?"
"It's well paced."
Gojo flops onto your bed, between Xylo and Enjin. The bed is definitely too small for the amount of power and testosterone on it.
"Actually yeah, forget the intervention. Keep writing. Keep buying, keep reading. Feed us emotionally."
"Gojo," Geto says weakly.
"No no," Keigo grins now, wings fluffing slightly. "I changed my mind too."
Sanji clutches his chest dramatically. "Continue your art, my love! Just make sure to eat."
Zoro grunts. "Do whatever you want."
Kazuki points sternly. "Always hydrate! Coffee doesn't replace water young lady!"
Rei shrugs slightly, eyes still on the game in his hands. "Or have someone that cooks for you." Kazuki turns too him, ready to put the other man in timeout.
You laugh then.
A real one.
Warm enough that the dream itself seems to brighten.
Aki looks at you softly. "Stories aren't something to be ashamed of," he sighs, "but they shouldn't come before your well being."
Sukuna smirks from where he's leaning against the wall. "Told you."
Geto runs a hand down his face. Defeated. "This intervention has failed catastrophically."
"Correction," Gojo says proudly. "It evolved." Enjin and him fist bump.
The room dissolves slowly after that.
Voices blending together. Laughter. Teasing.
The warmth of being understood without needing to explain yourself.
And just before the dream fully fades, Sukuna's voice is low:
"Just don't let anything or anyone come before working on yourself and becoming stronger."
You nod. "...Yeah."
"That means a sleeping schedule and vegetable!" Kazuki insists again.

You wake up tangled in blankets.
Rain tapping softly outside.
Figurines on shelves. Manga stacked behind them. Keychains waiting patiently on your bag.
Comfort.
Inspiration.
Pieces of joy.
You lay there for a moment, smiling sleepily into the quiet of your room. Where Enjin, Xylo, and Gojo were laying on in your dream.
You pull your body out of bed and sit at your desk, opening your laptop.
Because suddenly?
You have a very good fic idea.
